wow this game sweeps 10/10 love the puzzle style and clever use of the tv theme

Developer

thank you for the kind words!, truly appreciate it

Great job. Clear puzzle game mechanics, with a neat flavor and twist.

My brain did find ti hard to keep track of the directions for the controls, due to the camera angle perhaps.

But yeah, seems in a great state, and hope you progress it to a full release, well done!

Developer(+1)

thabk you for the kind words! The camera/ clntrols is something to be worked on for sure!

It's very neat game mechanic implementation. Great game.

Developer

thank you!

Awesome game! It looks like you are almost ready to release it. I got stuck on level 6 and i think there is only one possible way to beat it. I would like to be able to rotate the camera to see the map or see it from different angles, so i can make a better plan, what path to follow. If this causes issues with the movement, maybe it can have also a reset or return to default camera.

Also, on the third level, i thought there was no way to complete it  because the boxes that you can pass through and the ones that act as walls look exactly the same to me.

Developer

thank you ! yea there are some minor djustments to be done and more content to be added before fll release but we got it to an exxtremely good state!

yea level 6 can be  a bit tricky! you have to go back and forth through the portals a couple of times!

rotating th camera is definetly on the table for future development.

on the third level it was supposed to be kind of a bridge that you can go under, that is true that we could've added some extra indication to make it clearer.

thank you for playing and thank you for the valuable feedback :)

Loved the puzzle concept! I think it was the most creative application of the theme I've seen so far.

My only concern was about the controls, because of the perspective, sometimes I used the wrong key... Maybe rotate the board a little was enough to fix the confusion.

Really great entry! Congrats!!

Developer

thank you for your kind words. I understand the concerns with the movement, which could be worked on. thank you

A really good puzzle game, with a nice level of polish. Very simple concept that gives a lot to think about when playing, and how to best position yourself. I found the controls a little difficult,  I'm not sure if its the isometric angle, my ability, or a mix of the 2! lol.

Really great entry to the jam!

Developer

thank you for the kind words and feedback! the controls could definitely be made clearer in some way! thank you!

Really well polished game! It doesn't feel like a jam game.

It's not my type of game in terms of mechanics and genre, but it's very cool with the theme and the aesthetics. My favorite overall on the jam.

Developer(+1)

thabk you! That means a lot that despite you not liking the genre this is your favorite. Truly appreciate that. Thank you!

This is awesome! love the puzzles! and i like the art, and the music is great!

Developer

thank you! That means a lot!

Every time I failed it wasn't in frustration but rather a self-directed schadenfreude, giggling at my own miscalculation. The game is challenging, fun and well polished! Awesome job!!

Developer

thank you for the kind words!

wow realy nice puzzle game with the tv mechanic only thing i would add is that all the levels are unlocked so you play the next one when you get stuck but exept that realy nice and polished game

Developer(+1)

thank you! If you noticed on the level select screen there is a cheat code box where you can enter cheat codes (which you find near the top in the description ) "UNLOCKALL" unlocks all levels incase you are stuck.

we wanted to keep the levels locked by default, so people who like the challenge of working for the goal of unlocking the next level and progressing through the game, can do that. But in case you get stuck or just want to try a later level, we added the cheat codes to help you do that :)

thank you for playing!

I loved this game!

Developer

thank you! That means a lot!

This is a great idea, a great game. I struggled after the 2nd level -- I was having such a hard time with the directions - the ol' Marble Madness - isometric screen and compass controls mismatch.

Developer

thank you for the feedback! there is definitely improvement to be done!

Submitted(+1)

Very well made, I just suck at these kinds of puzzle games.  I struggled to get past the second level, didn't manage before giving up after failing like 30 times, not gonna dock ya for that though.

Developer(+1)

thank you! i appreciate the kind words!

but oh no! yea it can be quite challenging, 2nd level is quite tricky with the start. if you want you can use the cheat codes, to explore some of the other levels with other mechanics!

but thank you for playing! i appreciate it!

If you find this to be a common comment, if you go forward with this after the jam, I'd suggest that you should add a few levels between that help introduce the movement slower so you'd get the feel for it before the training wheels are taken off.  A lot of games tend to go that route of explaining by doing.  This game is really well done. I bet it could work well on the phone if you add touch controls or something.

Really good game. Quite a challenge, but very playable. Well done!

Developer

thank you!

Loved the concept! There is not much to say, the game is really great, not all the levels are necessarily balanced but that can be solved in the future quite easily.  Mby a little story can be added as well tho it does not really feel necessary. The game is quite intuitive as well.

The VFX are quite nice as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see this game on steam or some other popular platform in the future.
Well Done!

Developer

thank you for your kind words. Definitely the levels should be maybe ordered better or have a more linear difficulty curve in the future

as for the story we brainstormed something and went with that the TV is collecting souls for life force, but didn't think about and totally forgot about implementing any of that in the game. (Also originally we had another plan which would've had quite a bit of story but that would've been too much art wise) and I think we made the right decision by going with this.

thank you! I appreciate it. It means a lot to hear that!

Submitted(+1)

such a cool idea :) really great art style and also I loved being able to pick skins. this is a great entry, nice one!

one funny note, I first wasn't aware that landing on the screen will kill the tv. I first thought there are invisible mines. I eventually figured it out tho (and should have read your description before playing duh :D )

Developer

thank yu for the kind words! haha yea that's fair. we did try to make it clear on the instructions and level 1 but could have been more clear definetly. thanks for playing

First of all, let us take a moment to appreciate the art style. It is really good, simple, very elegant, and to the point. Shout out for that.

The game itself is clever, and while I was only smart enough to solve the first three levels, I could definitely see the effort put into the level design. Shout out for that too.

I felt like the game was a bit too difficult for me. I am not sure if it is a problem with progression and balancing or just a skill issue on my part.
The controls can get tricky, and while the camera angle makes the game look amazing, it also adds some confusion to the controls to a certain extent.

All in all, it is a wonderful entry.

Tip: one thing I always do to make sure players get to see the whole game is to include the option to skip levels. It is a real game changer. Sometimes I make a level that is very difficult or unbalanced, and if the player finds it too challenging, they can skip it and experience the rest of the game. This helps them understand the game better and enjoy a smoother experience overall, which can even lead to a better rating.

thank you I appreciate the kind words!

yea we could've worked on the level difficulty progression a bit better maybe. We really struggled with that.

yea I understand the problem with the camera angle plus controls we were thinking about adding a rotating camera but didn't add it to this. And as for the mobile controls we are planning to put them on an angle for a future update!

Actually we do have a way to skip levels! Not directly in the level it self, but if you go in the level select screen you can see the cheatcode box. And in our games description we have listed the cheat codes. Like "UNLOCKALL" is to unlock all levels so you can test every level :)

I appreciate the well thought out feedback it means a lot. Thank you for playing our game!

Submitted(+1)

Well, I managed to solve the first screen but that's as far as I got! 🤣
The game looks great and the sounds are nice, but the controls are kind of too confusing for my brain to handle.

Developer(+1)

that's fair, thank you for  your feedback, we'll take that into consideration. thank you for playing ! :)
