Hey there! 🎃

I just played Trick or TV and had a blast! The atmosphere was spooky, and the gameplay kept me on edge. The use of sound and visuals really added to the tension. One suggestion: the camera controls felt a bit tricky at times, so tweaking the sensitivity could improve the experience.

If you have a moment, I'd love for you to check out my game Hush Boy, Hush and drop a rating: /jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3971977

Thanks so much and best of luck in the jam! 👻

Oh Noooo! The TVs got me! 😫
Very good game - nice use of the theme & sponsor assets.  Great sound effects.
Is it winnable?  I tried a couple times, but wasn't able to make it back to the village.

Nice game! A little bit buggy sometimes, but I ran it on the browser...

Loved the way you built up the tension until the great finale!

Great entry! Congrats!

Great job finishing your game! I really loved how you stuck with the theme! I did have occasional issues with the camera bugging out a little, but aside from that the game ran good! I wasn't super big on the one jump scare, but I did really love the creepy atmospheric stuff happening around me leading up to that, especially how all of the jack-o'-lanterns always turn to keep their eyes on the player no matter where you move. Also, hearing the footsteps out in the woods behind the first house and seeing the person vanish into the trees gave me chills, very well done! I would have liked to have seen more gameplay based around the trick or treating, but otherwise I enjoyed the creepy vibes, well done!

I liked the look and sound design just the trick or treating was a little flat. Environment and lighting was solid too :)

Loved the vibe you were going for. I actually jumped in my seat when the jumpscare happened. The sound design really sold the whole vibe.

A pretty funny issue I had was with trying to sneak - pressing Ctrl-W ended up closing the game XD

Overall, great game!

Good use of audio and popup scare.

Getting to the top was weird, it told me to run but the camera was stuck looking down, good effort overall!

Love the chosen aesthetics and use of sound here.

There seemed some major lag spikes in certain areas though

Pretty good game! Just a few optimisation tricks (especially for web):

For the big T.V., spawning the little T.V.s, it might be best to load them in at the start, and just keep them dormant, as I had a huge lag spike, waiting on "RUN!" for a solid few seconds, uncertain as to if the audible enemies were attacking me during this spike.

Other than that, fairly solid game! Good job, especially in a one man team - don't blame you for using a bit of AI, and at least you're honest!
