Really gound game, playing around the death of the cat and his 9 lives is a really good idea
Wow this game is incredible! Even though I got frustrated at moments (I think difficulty curve is at times too steep), I still really enjoyed it!
BTW there's a thing with godot web builds that it sometimes clips audio for no reason (happens to me with Firefox on Mac OS). This can be mitigated by setting the audio driver latency to larger value (I've set it to 100ms in my game).
notes taken
Really liked the core concept and the creativity in this game, I couldn't beat it at first and for me that's what make a good difficult platformer game!
The cat is very smell and blends with the background very easily, even with the ghost trail behind them. Still, very fun concept, and good platformer design. It's probably the most fun game I've played in the jam so far.
I like the idea of being able to manage the cat lives to achieve the goal.
Very creative.
Unique mechanic. I love it. I like the chapters too. Good job
Main idea is great, I have good time playing it. Most interesting among all other games for sure, at least for now on. The only couple of things I would change is sound of a jump (since you jump a lot and it starts to annoy me a bit) and inability to move after respawn for half a second or so (whole game is quite fast yet this stop erases the feel of pursuit for your owner). Either way game is definitely in my top 3 from this jam.
Good game, a very creative platforming game
I love the bg song AND the idea its felt creative as a platform game :D
The mechanics feel super cool and unique! The level design was fun and engaging too! The only drawback I found was that the obstacle at the end was a little bit too challenging, but this was a joy to play anyway :)
This is one of the best games from the Jam I played so far!
Such a cool game!!!! :D
Love the mechanics, the music, and the gameplay :3
Such a banger
The trail mechanic is really cool! I’ve seen games that use their dead bodies from previous lives to their advantage but this is creative. Also the music really brings the hype for some reason :D Noice!
Great game, really like how you showed features bit by bit. Really like the gameplay and the music is a banger! haha
Karl Casey is a legend 👑
I really enjoyed this game! I sat and played it all in 1 try. The controls and how to play was really easy to grasp! I love the main mechanic for the ghost trail and using it as a platform super creative! I loved how it was pretty tough as well especially that last bit! Overall really enjoyed the game! You did a great job! My only critique is there was a lot of black and white but it seemed a bit of an after thought honestly though the game is good enough for me not to care lol!
Originally the art would've been greyscale but, this is a spooky season jam and I wanted the game to feel like it has a soul. The stark white/black sprites were intentional, to make them stand out. Thanks for playing!
Oh I see now! Good touch :D
Wow. This deserves at least top 10. My only criticism would be that I lost all 9 of my lives and had to start the whole game again. That is a bit harsh.
And poor black cats dying. That's my profile picture.
All cats go to heaven.
Apparently-
Really nice concept with interesting mechanics, when life is resource in some way, cool entry;)
Loved the concept of this one, at first I thought the little cat trail was just an aesthetic choice but when I understood the mechanic I was very impressed. The puzzles themselves were fun, and the overall art style was cute. I did get some framerate issues on certain areas on the web build, but my PC has been having issues recently so it could just be that :)
Very much appreciated having an undo button btw!
This was a neat little puzzle platformer with a pretty cool mechanic. I did a lot better than I expected, and I love the idea that you have to give up lives to progress. My one complaint is that dying at the very end feels crappy when the entire game has the rewind mechanic baked right in.
I tuned into your stream yesterday, once again thanks for the feature. Originally this game was going to be a rage game without any undos, but I had a change of heart :p
