This might be one of the best entries if not the best one
I love the voiceline work as a tutorial, the work with the volumetric lights and roaches and the idea is neat, congratz!
(Tip: you can render the broom and other first person viewmodels with a separate camera to a render texture and display that render texture as UI so the broom doesnt clip through walls)
Dude! That's an amazing tip! Thanks so much, and thanks for playing!
What an excellent entry! This one really stands out. I was especially impressed with the visual quality and lighting — the volumetric effects and uniqueness of each room were very pleasing to explore. Even the intro screen caught my attention with its atmosphere and eeriness.
I absolutely loved the game’s concept. Playing as a kid cleaning a spooky, abandoned building felt like walking through a first-person haunted house. The magic mop following you around was a brilliant touch, and the tension between looking down to clean or looking up for ghosts was genuinely terrifying. Every single scare got me — even when I restarted after dying and knew they were coming! Each of them activating in a different way kept me guessing until the end! The phone tutorial was also a fantastic way to introduce the mechanics while keeping players immersed.
The only small issue I ran into was during my second playthrough: after dying once, I was only able to find six ghosts instead of seven (and I swear I searched everywhere!). Restarting the game fixed it, though, and I was able to finish without any problems.
Easily one of my favorites so far. Fantastic work!
Loved the art style chosen for the game, gives of early and peaceful HFF vibes. I was really enjoying the cozy scrubbing for a solid 3 minutes when that corner dweller bum me shit my pants.
I feel like it's okay if you cant escape the imminent fail but my only issue is you never can tell when you might get jumped and thus have no way to avoid it. also would be nice if how much if i knew how much I have progressed and how many graffities i have left to scrub.
Really loved the atmosphere and the vibe, made me nostalgic.
Thanks a bunch! Great feedback. I think I mention in the game description that they're are 7 graffitis to scrub away, but you're right - it absolutely should be more player friendly. The dangerous jump scares are pre-scripted and are 1 per room, so if you know where they are you can avoid them. But I think they happen too quickly and players can't tell where the thing came from, which is why it feels a little unfair and unexpected. Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
Really enjoyed scrubbing the bezi ghost . The atmosphere and ambience was good
But I was confused on how many scrubbings i had left and it would it nice if the game didnt start from the beginning each death.
Hey thanks for playing! I think I mention how many graffitis there are to scrub in the game description (there are 7), but you're right - there definitely should be a counter in the game. Thanks for the feedback!
Quick tip for folks playing the game - pressing C to crouch makes scrubbing the ghost graffiti on the ground easier!
