Liked the art and the character sprites but there's not much going on in the level and it's confusing with the portal which seems to be restarting the game but retaining your gem amount.
What was with the robot at the start? When i attacked him a few times it seemed like it would restart the game, and when i jumped over him my character would turn white.
Oh yeah, he's meant to give damage but I didn't finish the attack anims on time. Whenever you have low HP it would restart the game
Nice start, would like to see when there are enemies to use the sword on.
