It took me a bit to understand how the game worked at first, it's a bit unconventional.
The movement can get quite janky when you start having a few wagons due to the fact they have collision with each other, nothing that gets in the way of the gameplay but it does make navigation feel a bit more confusing than it already is.
I'm not really sure on the fact you can pick which wagon to throw since it didn't seem like there would be a reason to throw anything but the last one? If you could recover detached wagons that'd be one thing but from my experience this mechanic just made me more frustrated as I would sometimes accidentally select the second to last wagon instead of the last one and start losing some without any way to recover them.
Always moving makes attacking enemies a bit awkward at times, when they start amassing a bunch it feels hard to counter since you mainly end up attacking through drive by attacks.
This was a lot of fun, especially when I got the speed boost! I think a more limiting level design will work well here, in a way that it prevents the train from taking sharp turns and crashing into itself. Some very rudimentary Pacman-like maze for example.
But overall, great game. so much fun to play
Unique combat and movement, I think this game is awesome! I didn't ever feel very threatened or in danger, but it was fun chucking train cars at enemies
I really enjoyed this one! Very unique mechanics that made me think about my train orientation, can definitely see the potential this has if you continue with it. I really like the artstyle too, simple but effective.
Not without some bugs, but they didn't stop me playing. I would have liked the train movement and wagon-throwing to not both be tied to the mouse though, felt a bit disorienting and was hard to aim at things when it would also affect my movement. Also could have done with the camera a bit more zoomed out, but overall I played this for a while to try and get good at it. Good job!
It was really fun zooming around and launching wagons on dragons and "zombies?". Overall great game. I couldn't keep up with the tutorial coz it was too fast but I learnt the game by failing and retrying.
Sorry that the tutorial was too fast :( Great you enjoyed it!
Hi curiouskind! I just played your game, Golden Motion, and it was really fun! I love the fact that you can throw wagons up in the air and hit enemies, and also bring golden wagons over for... something? I didn't really play much of the game to see what you actually get when you bring over 2 Golden Wagons, nor did I even know how to rack up points in this game. Nevertheless, I really love the crayon-ish artstyle, the music, and the mouse-based controls! Also, I wished that there was an option to where you can retrieve the wagons you lost once you throw a wagon up in the air and down to defeat enemies. Overall, 3.5/5 stars! You deserve more views, curiouskind! ⭐⭐⭐, and thanks a million for playing, rating, and commeting on my game, Delivery Berrie!
