Nice little game where reflexes play a big role. At times I didn't really have a good understanding of what was going on, maybe due to the lack of feedback on some parts. Like sometimes, I would block an attack without having clicked the block button, or my enemy would be dead but I would still be able to hit them - or I died, but I would be able to continue playing, sometimes it was hard to tell what was a bug and what just wasn't being communicated to me, if that makes sense? However, I really liked the strategic gameplay of having to figure out and predict your opponent, and that was fun! The style of the game was also cool and fall-esque. Plus it sounds very cool that all enemies have randomized patterns, etc. Good job and thanks for participating in the jam :)

Developer

thanks for playing and the feedback! I cut this jam a bit fine and only just submitted. There are some bugs where even after you win or lose the game continues! The intro also took a hit, certainly I’ll get it fix up post jam - perhaps you will try again :) thank you

Cute game! I would have loved it if I could full screen it, and the game was a little hard to see at times. But the game was fun and cute!

thank you, good feedback! I totally ran out of time on this jam at the end. I’ll improve the size post jam for sure :) thank you

This is wonderfully silly! The sound effects fit perfectly!

Nice one! Made me think of the old school browser social games haha

Good job!!!

Good job ! especially as a solo developper ! You did great and don't worry about the few bugs, it's a jam. The "yo-yo" physic is rly smooth and fun lol. The turn-based fight system feels a bit slow though. Again, good job !

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing the game! After the jam certainly will fix the bugs and tune up the timings to make it more action-packed :) thanks for the feedback

I like the presentation, even though it's not a very cozy game. Quite stressful, actually. I either don't understand how to play it or the gameplay is insanely difficult, as I couldn't get past Baba Yaga. The difficulty ramp is too big.

Still, congratulations on your submission & good work!

Developer

hey! Thank you for playing. Baba yagga is the end boss! Congrats you won. There are bugs that prevent the game finishing and it continues unexpectedly. Ran out of time to fix it. You won tho well done! :)

Very good game, I love the visuals and music ( music VERY GOOD ). Баба яга как противник :) Круто! The gameplay is too slow ( my opinion ) but very nice game i like

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play! Really pleased you got the chance to try my game - thanks again

A pretty cool idea, but it was a little hard to play. I think it has a lot of potential though!

Developer

Thanks for taking the time! appreciate the time spent and feedback. I think with some practice it gets easier - a bit of a steep increase in difficulty but only three bosses hehe. thanks again

i really love the music for this, but the battle mechanics were difficult and buggy. once i got to the baba yaga enemy, i i could barely land any hits and i just kept living despite having zero health. eventually she just kept on blocking so even when i managed to land a hit it wouldnt do any damage. the art seems a bit overly symmetrical too, but it clearly had quite a bit of time put into it and was quite nice!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Sadly it was a rush to the finish and the final part of the game has bugs, you will see a win message but the game continues! It wasn't intended and I will fix after the jam. Thanks again

I liked the swinging effect of the player and the nice background. But the start was a little to fast and the font not so good to read, so that I couln't read you nice story at first try. And sadly I didn't get even one hit in. I think it is a little too hard for me.

But stay on the swining mechanic. That's really fun! With more hit impact on the enemy I could see how this could be a fun loop.

I'm really pleased you got to play, I was worried most people wouldn't make it past the intro as it looks and feels broken. I ran out of time at the end and it was a rushed finish - the intro took a hit and unfortunately the text isn't very readable. Did you really not get a hit? If you get the bar in the orange or green you should (tapping space or right mouse button)

I've just added a couple of screenshot of the intro to the game page so you can see how it was supposed to look! It had a little conker king falling from a tree and the crown being stolen, it isn't half bad but unfortunately I moved the images behind the background by mistake during the rushed submission. I very nearly didn't make it!

Good feedback on the hit impact, it was on the list but I ran out of time. Will certainly finish this up after the jam! Thanks again

yeah, I can totally understand, that one has to make sacrifices in the end. Good you made it in time!

And I think I got hits... at least I got it in green and then it says "perfect", but I didn't notice a change... But maybe I didn't understood the three options. Haha, don't worry. Keep it up - the swing mechanic is very satisfying.

i'm sorry it was hard to play with how loud it was

Developer

hehe - I can't reproduce this one - soweeeee
Can I help at all with your setup? Perhaps your speakers are turned too high! Please turn them down and try again?

Hey nice game! The mechanic is quite interesting!

Small points: Sometimes I am a bit confused on what is happening, and the enemy takes a bit to much time to think, which breaks a bit the rythmn you were going for (I am guessing).

Anyway, I could see this turning into a really engaging game!

Developer

Thanks for the play! I'm happy you got to try :) I ran out of time for tuning at the end but will certainly revisit and fine tune after the jam. Thanks again
