everyone already said the nice things that i would also say so ill keep this to only critiques, which are not many.
1. i didnt notice the new character to unlock the first time at the store. i think it could use the same highlight on hover so i know to click it.

2. the pacing of the green zombies was strange to me, they never caught the cart the first level so i completely ignored them the second level after upgrading my horse and then they caught the cart and it was an instant lose state since i let so many build up. i think i was also expecting the cart to keep moving if they ever caught it since they seem so inconsequential the first level.

Loved the voice lines, thought they were performed well. Great art and overall I think the vibe is consistent throughout the project.

For gameplay it kind of got repetitive quickly for me. On the active play side of things, I very much felt like I was doing the same thing over and over. The time it took for reload was a bit long, and the difficulty of the game was repetitive. Either I had enough bullets left to kill the bat or not, not a whole lot of other choices I was able to make.

I think with a few tweaks it's easily one of the strongest entries for this jam.

The visuals and sound are so good! I also like the idea of upgrading the cart, characters, your gun, etc.

I found it a little too slowly paced, but that's different for everyone so I'm not sure it's even a valid criticism. Overall, extremely well executed on what seems to be a perfectly scoped idea!

The sound design is really good! The music, sound effects and especially the voiceovers were soooo goood! :D Also congrats on making all the assets and animations in such a short time frame! Despite game being played in one area, neither the environment nor characters became boring. So the effort definitely payed off.  I'm glad spend final week on the UI and polish - it makes the game stand out :)

What I think could be improved is the gameplay design:
- Game is supposed to be an incremental game, but I did not experience the exponential growth with upgrades. Upgrades allowed me to do more of the same - but I was still collecting a handful of candies. Upgrades that would add more kids that collect candies, adding loot to zombies, auto turrets would create these multiplicative factors to the income (instead of just additive ones that are currently in the game). But I fully understand time constraints! :)
- I did not feel the pressure from zombies. I would love to see a faster pacing to this part. Zombies should be able to catch up with the wagon, reload should be (MUCH) faster - and some loot candies to collect would be awesome.
- The vulture was super annoying :D I would like to see more of them but much easier to be killed. So as a player I would have to make a decision if I want to fend off the horde of zombies or redirect my fire power to the other part of screen to save a couple of candies.

All in all - a really well executed game! And bonus points for naming it Click or Treat! :D

Damn this game rocks! From the music to the artwork, animation, economy of upgrades, very well done! Only major thing I would've wanted was a prestige mechanic, maybe new characters that interact with existing systems (e.g. maybe someone that rides on the back of the horse auto-firing at fliers, increased horse speed, passive candy income, etc).

And only minor things are some of the gravestones were backwards, and since they have the light angles reverse on them it looks a bit out of place. That and it would be cool to see a little more interesting details in the background behind the trees. Some (very few) of the voice lines were a little cringey; I didn't mind the ones with puns, but others just didn't seem to have a punchline e.g. "neigh, neigh neigh neigh, horse". And lastly make the candy a liiiitle bit bigger as it's tough to click on the ground. Also ghosts seemed to completely stop spawning later in the game?

Anyways, congrats on the great game (and great hand-drawn thumbnail too)!

Defense units that ride on the cart would've been a great add.  We had planned to spend the last week of the jam working on this but after playtest feedback we knew we needed to devote that final stretch to balance, polish, and UI.   Nice catch with the gravestones... I never would have thought of that but you're absolutely right.  I should have just drawn a different variation for them instead of mirroring them.  The way the ghost works at the moment he only has a 10% chance of spawning whenever you visit a house.  So this could've just been bad RNG but we'll be looking into it!  Thanks for playing, and thank you for so much great feedback.  Really glad you enjoyed it! - Chilladin
