How does your game incorporate the theme Transport?
In Echo Rider, transport is represented not only through the queen’s journey home but also through the movement of sound and light, which themselves become forms of transport in this world where sound travels faster than light.

Unique idea, though I did find one or two of the sounds to be a bit misleading (thought the rolling boulder was thunder). There's also a lot of waiting in this game, which if shortened would make the gameplay feel tighter.

I got as far as the arrows level but the horse ended up staying in place in front of the archers, don't know if that was the end or a bug. I like the concept though, and got a good enough feel for it by that point.

This is a very cool concept and while I do have some issues with the execution It's a pretty creative game for your first one!

The idea of picking the right option based mainly on sound is good but one issue I've had playing is what the sound actually corresponded to wasn't always clear and the movement options I could choose was also not very intuitive. It made the game feel a lot more trial and error than a puzzle.

You spend a lot of time just slowly crossing the screen when your only gameplay choice happens multiple seconds before any of that happens so it ends up leading to a more frustrating experience if you aren't able to pick the correct choice right away.

I think this is the kind of game that would benefit from a consistent design language( i.e. elements that behave in a known and consistent way) that you slowly teach the player through each stage. This would make those multiple choice stages feel a lot better as they would both be about trying to interpret the sounds and about recalling your past knowledge.

Unique gameplay loop and chill experience! I enjoyed this. I wish there was a little less walking downtime between each scene because I was eager to see what came next!

great game, really nice music, I was vibing while playing your game, congrats, the unique feedback would be about the "gameplay loop", I don't know if I missed something, but I felt pretty lost taking decisions before even knowing what was coming up, this way, maybe it would be nice to have some mechanic that the player needs to focus on to be able to do the right choice, but congrats man!

S Sharveshwar, I just played your game, Echo Rider, and me being completely honest, I have pretty mixed feelings about the game. For one, you're forced to make a choice while not actually seeing what's coming up ahead, and while that does to the challenge of the game, with you having to hear the footsteps and trying to guess what comes up ahead, I played a few games in the past where some text or a situation happens to the player appear on-screen, and players will have to choose the most logical answer. Second, the artstyle, while still great and pretty to look at, doesn't really clash well with the Queen and her horse, which are made with pixel art. Third, I can't even play the game properly without zooming in full-screen, and I really don't particularly like full-screen in PC games, but really, the execution is excellent. You really made a unique and interesting take on the "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" plots, about deciding what is the outcome of your decisions, and you having to transport the Queen and her horse safely back to her kingdom. Overall, 2.5/5 stars: ⭐⭐🌗. Not really the best game I've played so far, but from your perspective, and excellent job well done, and a shining light in your game dev career. Oh, and REAL congratulations on even submitting the game on time, with only just 2 minutes and 4 seconds to spare. That's true dedication right there.

Also, S Sharveshwar, if you have the time, if you would check out my game, Delivery Berrie, and rate it, I would very much appreciate of you even playing my game, and giving me feedback, whether it's good or bad! Thank you so very much if you do! ❤️🎮🕹️👸🐎

I really like the idea of sound being faster than light, but I cannot get the game to start after the opening cutscene.

Thank you for your feedback, but I am not sure why you are facing that issue, I would really appreciate you if you gave it another try and play/rate the game.
