Very nice game.
The sound really creates a specific atmosphere. I really liked it. However, in the background I heard a "strange" sound, like a sick person having difficulty breathing. This is part of the game's music, right?
that's sfx of the parasites! I've had a few people point this out, so a version of the soundtrack without the parasites will be uploaded to YouTube and SoundCloud. Hope this helps :)
Nice game! I like the mechanic
Took a little while to get grips on the combat, but I enjoyed that was very forgiving and allowed me to piece together how to attack. I loved the boss fight at the end. This gave me SNES vibes like older 2D zelda and metroid vibes.
The gameplay is enjoyable. I find dragging the parasite satisfying because of its smooth movement. Would like to see more levels and difficulty.
I find it respectable that you managed to have such good pacing in the game. You started small, introduced more elements and even had a boss fight at the end. Very good job! I found the latching mechanic to be very original and enjoyable with a lot of potential for more interaction, like connecting objects. The boss had some dead angles where, upon latching, it could not reach me with its attacks anymore, so maybe check all directions and see if the boss attack range fits? (I just guess that is how you intended it). Good job again!
What issues I have with this can be explained by lack of time.
You should be proud.
This is quite acceptable gameplay.
Liked the mousemovement and the fast paced gameplay. Cool mechanics! Sadly it's a bit short. Overall a really good entry!
This was actually really enjoyable! I really liked the "latching" mechanic, and I think the whole idea is really smart, needing to be stuck to an enemy to do damage but also dodging their attacks, I could see this becoming big with a few more interesting enemy types and some more interactions you can do with the latching, awesome!
