Note: It took some time for me to get back around to finishing comments on the jam games. Pardon the late comment!

This was a really fun tower-defense concept! Adding bullet hell made for a really cool hybrid challenge and a good mix of genres. The foes are all unique in interesting ways, too, which makes for a fun challenge in both strategizing and action - although I wouldn't have minded Alice having some upgrades to handle certain foes.

The pumpkins are a good Halloween touch from the jam time, and the dynamic music makes for a fun listening experience. On that note, the talking Fumos were also a pleasant surprise - as were the small references in the game (especially the intro).

This was an excellent experience all around! Thank you for making this!

Thank you so much for taking the time to play it and leave such a detailed comment! :)) I’m sorry I wasn’t around during the stream, it got quite late for me. I’m actually planning to turn this into a full (or atleast bigger) game, so your feedback means a lot and gives me a big boost of motivation!

Pretty well put together. But not being able to shoot the balloon fumos yourself is pretty annoying. I think what would be cool is if there were upgrades for the player themselves to be able to hit anti air. That or just make the anti air upgrade cheaper because it costs as much as an entire other tower.

Developer

Funnily enough player upgrades were planned with that exact idea for one of the upgrade paths, but sadly there just wasn’t enough time to add it :( I’m glad you still liked it tho! :D

I can't believe hard mode is hard.

Also the little detail like music transition between intense and idle version is a good touch.

Developer

Yeah PetarS did an awesome job (they made the music)!! There’s actually 3 versions of the song, one during idle, one during regular waves and one with additional electric guitar and drums during spell waves.

Play. Die to projectiles. Repeat.

Quite a tough game. It took a lot of attempts to beat the hard difficulty. I like it!

Developer

Yay, I’m glad you enjoyed it despite the difficulty :] Funny fact: Originally Hard was going to be called “Normal” and Normal “Easy”, but after further testing I changed the names :D

Extremely fun! Reminded me of the good ol days of playing Bloons TD 3 during computer lab in class. I love being able to attack myself and also needing to dodge, just feel that actually LOSING when you lose all lives via getting hit might be a bit much. Otherwise I wanna see more!

Developer

i mean the only way thats gonna happen is if you already took 95 damage (195 on normal mode). But thanks for trying it out and I’m glad you still liked it :D

Awesome concept had a lot of fun. It's not super clear on how to defeat the balloon fumos I didn't know which ability was it that let me do that. Either way, fun game!

Developer

Hey thanks for trying it out :)

I’m working on a post jam version which has tips and actually explains what the upgrades do, hopefully that will help others understand how it works.
