The game is very charming, the sprites, gameplay and audio are on point. I also had the bug where the player could pass through the one way platforms, but pressing down again fixed it. Anyway, nice job.

Really charming game! I think you nailed the old NES aesthetic perfectly, and the difficulty felt just right; the platforming and avoiding obstacles was tough, but the checkpoints were plentiful enough to be forgiving. I did run into an issue where I was unable to stand on top of the fall-through platforms at all after dying, but returning to the main menu fixed this glitch and I was unable to replicate it afterwards. Awesome work!
