  • It's super satisfying trying to collect the money to get more upgrades while dodging stuff. Great gameplay loop.

How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
The game features a TV pitchman, who uses "as seen on TV" products to fight against conmen.

Fun spin on a Vampire Survivors type game with the weapons being inspired by classic infomercials.

I feel so cool playing as this dude! I love the dialogue as well XD Had a super fun time :D

Really fun and addictive suvivors-like game! The weapons I think hit the perfect balance of being both fun to use in game and a great implementation of the jam’s theme. Overall, a really solid game with fun visuals and concepts. Nice work!

Loved the music and chefs talking. Very polished for a game jam, art reminded me of Dinner Dash :P

Really cool idea for implementing the weird advertisement side of the theme. Its really fun and very quick to get into/learn

Really cool take on a Vampire Survivors–style game, I had a good time zoning out and mowing things down.

I liked the voiceover a lot and the music fits the chaotic infomercial vibe really well.
A few small things from my side: the WebGL build doesn’t go properly fullscreen for me, and the UI elements look a bit inconsistent next to the otherwise strong art. It also feels like the characters and enemies could use some simple shadows – right now they look like they’re slightly floating above the ground.
One more note: the game keeps running in the background and there doesn’t seem to be a real pause, which is pretty tough if you’re streaming or need to look at chat.
Overall though, it’s a fun, punchy jam game and I enjoyed my time with it!

thank you for the comment! fully agree on all points, and I'll see about pausing it while it's unfocused in the next update

Hi! I played your game and wanted to leave some quick and direct feedback.Pros:

  1. I liked the visual style, it fits the game well and looks very pleasant.
  2. The music is great and really sets the pace and atmosphere.
  3. I did not encounter a single bug during the entire playthrough. The game feels nicely polished.

Cons:

  1. In my opinion, the game could use a bit more enemy variety.
  2. The main character and the enemies could use some additional animations to make everything feel more lively.

Overall:

The game is pretty fun and the gameplay becomes engaging very quickly. Great job!

Really good art and naturally the dopamine gaming is quite good. I had a weird bug where after restarting I did no damage, but closing and reopening the game worked just fine.
