How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
Our game ties the Retro TV theme to both story and mechanics. Sara is one girl with three personas: Sara, Kara and Mara. She uses a big CRT TV in the main room to switch who is in control. Each persona sees the same apartment in her own way. Sara's version of the room is full of retro tech and tapes, Kara turns it into a cozy duck themed space, and Mara's corner feels closer to a yandere style shrine. Cinder waits in Sara's main room next to the TV and asks for two VHS tapes from each persona. You solve small click based puzzles in every version of the rooms and win six tapes in total. They appear on Sara's desk as shared inventory. When all six are collected you walk up to Cinder and press E to feed him the tapes and reach the ending. The loop of swapping personas through the TV, exploring three different views of one apartment and paying with VHS tapes connects the game directly to the Retro TV theme.

Very interesting little RPG-esque game. I liked the character switching mechanic affecting the way they see the world. The visuals and creativity are very strong there, and the "duck world" was a good use of the duck theme. For things to improve on, I felt that the audio could've been more varied than just ambience and there could have been more sound effects. I also felt that every minigame was too simple and not really a "puzzle," but that's probably due to the game jam's time constraints. Add more depth to the gameplay and it's sure to be a hit.

super cool game guys!! i love the visual style and all the lore you managed to pack in, i can tell you worked really hard on this! the character switching mechanic was really clever; plus the environmental storytelling with each characters view of the area was really neat, and i loved all the little puzzles. i would have liked to see a separate ending if you choose not to give cinder the tapes though 👀

I like the atmosphere!

I know that when we talk about a game jam, time is a very big constraint, but I wish the story was more developed... I'd definitely try the game out again if you'll take the time to give the story a little more depth :)

Very atmospheric game with an awesome premise and narrative! I’m a big fan of the visuals and presentation, and I think framing the theme through the lens of split personality was an inspired choice. I would love to see this expanded on in the future, or just more stuff in this style, because it’s just such a cool aesthetic! Great work!

FANTASTIC art, storytelling and concept for such a short amount of time.  Creepy vibe from the backgrounds, the audio,  and the writing.  It's shocking how surreal and confident this was in presentation, it genuinely didn't feel like it was made in a week.  I only wish it was longer, when it ended, I was genuinely sad because I wanted more.  Amazing work, top tier.

A really unsettling game for not having any jump scares!
A unique take on the retro tv theme, and a surprising amount of visual variation given the limited time for the jam.
I also appreciate that the puzzles weren't too complicated because I tend to get stuck on puzzle games whenever they get too in-depth.

Overall, I liked this because it managed to creep me out a bit, good work!

It turned out atmospheric, the visual style of the characters and locations looks very good, especially Kara's location. Very good!
