Short description of the game
Everyone knows cats are liquid - but what about cats that are pudding? Control these flan felines through the tricky challenges of the dessert table - waffle walls, ice cream ice blocks, really hot strawberry jam - to get them served on the plates! Aren't they just the sweetest and cutest?

Development Process
From the start, I had a goal in mind when I heard of the theme of "cute": not to go for the low-hanging fruit of just making a cozy game or a reskin of an existing game. I wanted the gameplay itself to embody the idea of cuteness. We struggled from the beginning to come up with interesting ideas, but two of them stuck out to us: the meme of cats being liquid, and the idea of something "squishable" like slime, dough, etc, with some initial thematic inspiration from Blobun. https://store.steampowered.com/app/3284270/Blobun/ So we decided to combine the idea and make a side-scrolling puzzle platformer about slime cats that squish, bounce, split and merge! Eventually though we turned the game top-down and scrapped bouncing, merging and splitting altogether as just the squishing mechanic alone was already incredibly deep and complex (it took us a lot of time even to fully work out the exact rules for, let alone implement :P). And when concept art and illustrations came in, everybody fell in love with pudding cats :D

Did you work in a multicultural/multilingual team over different time-zones?
Definitely. I (TechWiz) am from Vietnam, and me and Miksa (Hungarian) study at Aalto. Adolam is from Israel and studies at Sibelius Academy, UniArts Helsinki. And of course our two lovely artists Seulgi and Yunbin are from Korea, and we tried to communicate with them in Korean whenever we could. We had to anticipate the timezone differences and send instructions the night before so the artists can work on them freely.

Some of the best game jam art I've seen. The gameplay was also pretty fun. So fun in fact that I managed to crash the game 3 times on the second level, but I kept on playing and eventually beat the whole game. That level was for sure the most difficult for me. I could never exactly wrap my head around how the movement in the game worked. Anyways great job and if you could also try out my game I would appreciate that :)
