  • Hello and thanks for joining the jam! This game had a really awesome vibe, though I think anything I'd tell you, you're very much aware of. The whole feel of this game from the sound to the graphics to the UI just fits together so well. You're very talented at creating an unsettling vibe and I'd highly recommend exploring making games like this in the future! It's very clear you have talent! Thanks again!

How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
The game revolves around a retro TV and cassette player

i interpreted ending 1/2 as a fail state for the entire playthrough (i tried to quack all the ducks forward, i tried jiggling all the dead and dying ducks), but it seems that its a death screen relevant only to that screen's obstacles (with a following screen), i think in terms of game language that particular obstacle should kick you out to the moving mushroom duck screen when finished. i also somewhat wonder what the ducks did to deserve this (what preservation instinct failed or what drive was preyed upon biologically, our duck does come across anti-social in screen 1, perhaps its strong lungs are what let it host the mushroom without dying?, the symbiosis is visually powerful i just feel like its missing a little something in the ludo-narrative story-telling sense).

the game definitely got under my skin and i kept closing out of it which is great!

11/10, extreme polish, a confident sense of visual storytelling and beautiful art and music.  Had to check out your other works after this one, it was just too damn good.  Jumpscared me good, what a treat this was.

Actual 10/10 game!

Genuinely inspiring for all of us. It's incredible how much you did with such a short amount of playtime!

Epic, all 5 well deserved. I really like how the tv is also the main gameplay mechanic

The ending caught me off guard, and now I have a tea stain on my sweater. Worth it though. I loved the moody atmosphere and diegetic UI. Can't wait to try all of the endings.

Good game!
Not sure how you pulled it off, but right after I lost, my cell started ringing.
When I answered it I just heard a raspy duck voice say "Cum Quack" and then they hung up...

Anyway, I'm going to go tell my family that I love them now for no particular reason. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome game! The horror atmosphere was very well done, and I think you did a great job executing the concept of a horror game with the theme. I think getting the second ending was a little obtuse (I didn’t realize at first that you could interact with the eject button), but considering that is an optional part of the game, I don’t think it’s a problem. Overall, fantastic job!

An interesting game. I really liked the duck, and while swimming as it, I kept trying to push the other ducks forward. The tense music made it feel like something was about to happen, so I tried to protect my duck and the ones nearby.
Please try my game and leave a rating as well.

The visuals are really strong and the idea is very creative. I didn’t even need to read the controls because everything felt intuitive from the start.

When the tape first came out of the TV during the Ending moment, I honestly thought that this was the actual ending. If I wasn’t playing during the jam, I probably would have closed the game there, because it really felt final. I clicked again just to check and I’m glad I did, because that let me reach one of the real endings.

A small note about pacing. The intro is quite long, so when the tape pops out for the first time, it really gives the impression that the game is already over.

The shader effects look cool but they are very intense. After finishing the game I felt a bit dizzy, but that is fully on my side, my vestibular system is weak and the warning at the start was clear, so no complaints.

Overall the game has a very unique vibe and strong atmosphere. I really liked the concept and the presentation :3

This indie horror game deserves a solid 10/10. The unique style, captivating art, intriguing premise, and chilling ambience create an unforgettable experience. It’s a thrilling gem that, for a short game, packs a good bit into one package, especially considering other short horror games on this website lately.

Absoultely loved it; such a short premise but so well exectued while still staying ominous/vague (also i love analog horror vibes haha).  Also i almost jumped out of my seat at the end XD Great game overall
