I had a blast playing this, it's a super polished game and really satisfying and cozy! The atmosphere and view outside the windows is such a nice touch, and I love the painting on the wall. If you were to continue with this, I'd say some more variations of customers would be nice, and a response that works for both pies and drinks would be great too. It's intuitive, satisfying to get into the movement flow, and really fun.

I really like the look and idea behind this game. Good mechanics overall, rather enjoyable. I think the customers could be a little more patient on the first day whilst you're figuring everything out. Took me a while to figure out i needed to put the pot back on the stove after adding sugar, had to come out the game and re-read the instructions. But a fun experience none the less. Great Work!

I think what was great about this was the logic behind the pies. I didn't notice the helper book, rather I thought how a pie should be made and it just worked.

really fun game, very cozy and somehow very stressful too, the fire has got to be my favourite videogame fire I have ever seen. really nice job. I did start getting very overwhelmed by around day 7 which took away a little bit of the cozy feelings haha

I was playing with a trackpad, and that significantly slowed me down XD I need to try this again once I have a mouse on hand, because I really liked it! The gameplay is straightforward enough, and I like the vibes. Wasn't expecting the pie to just yoink itself across the kitchen XDD Fun and cute and cozy, really nice game!

Amazing game, although I was hoping for something a bit more relaxed lol. Gets hectic real fast. The throwing is pretty funny.

I do have some technical feedback.

- Maybe in addition to E, you can use LMB to grab items. I ended up pressing LMB a lot to try to pick up things. E felt a little bit strange for it.

- Mouse capture is kinda buggy. Clicking on the game to get focus doesn't capture the mouse. I worked around it by opening and closing the recipe book.

Developer

I agree with both of the suggestions. Especially the mouse capture. That was very disappointing . I also wish we added a more cozy mode...this was our first jam and while we mostly prioritized important things, other crucial things slipped through the cracks...Thank you for the feedback :)

It was hard for me at first, but then I was reminded about the throwing mechanics, and I went through serval more days with profit by throwing pumpkins, knives, and pies.

I wish I could pin comments haha. Thank you for playing!! :D

This was so well put together! I think y'all did a fantastic job and I had a ton of fun playing. I had to stop after the eighth day (stress levels too high lol), but I loved how your different systems came together in a way that was both easy to understand and execute on. The writing was pretty good too and I had quite a few laughs along the way. Thanks for making and sharing your game—this is another one of my favorites!

I had a similar experience with our level scaling haha! I personally got to Day 9 and was like wow (1) it's a miracle it even feels this playable, but (2) I wish we'd gotten the chance to play test that long before submitting. Only the first 3 days' speeds were tweaked before we had to submit ! I think if we come back to the game, I'd make a "cozy" and "chaos" mode - because part of me really enjoyed the speed, but I think my favorite part of the game is sitting by a simmering apple cider pot and lookin' out the window.

Had a ton of fun with this one! The amount of silliness with the throwing was great, and the amount of things that just worked together in ways you would hope they would made this feel sooo polished,, very nicely done!

I enjoyed putting the recipes together.
Everything worked really well, and it felt great once I got into the flow. I love the little 3D kitchen and level, it鈥檚 super cozy, and the fireplace is such a nice touch. Our jam game is actually kind of similar but in 2D, so it was extra fun seeing this take in 3D. The ghost theme isn鈥檛 totally my personal cup of tea, but the core mechanics are really fun and satisfying. Nice work!

Wow this is so cute! I really enjoyed this and played for a good amount of time! I really games like overcooked so this really scratched that itch for me. Super impressive! Love the art style, sounds and gameplay! Excellent entry and well done!

Developer

Thank you so much !!! I can't wait to try out your game - we also were going for an "overcooked" vibe, but we wanted it to feel more similar to the process of actually baking a pie! We also wanted more customer interaction, but ultimately ran out of time. We appreciate the feedback!

I love the pace of this game! Kind of stressful at times but such is food service. I really liked it overall! Had a pleasant time with this, thank you and congrats!

Developer

Thank you !!! I tried to make it less stressful on the point system, but I think the customers ultimately get a little overwhelming haha! Thank you for the feedback! Your Witch Delivery game was FANTASTIC! Will leave a rating soon.

loved this ! the gameplay was very active, although a little laggy, but i had a lot of fun! the comedy in the pies being thrown at the end of the cutscene and throughout the game was really cute haha. i had a few issues with some customers not accepting their pies, but i still had a lot of fun regardless! the art n atmosphere is really cute and i enjoyed being able to walk around this place in 3D

Thank you so much! Yes - I think for future game jams, we will maybe have less particle effects on the web version of the game and also leave some "loading time" so that the lag/loading isn't so jarring.  Oh gosh! I'll have to debug what's going on with the not accepting pies. Will check our your game ASAP!!

This is also totally because I was learning 3d modeling things as we went haha. A lot of the assets are much bigger than they need to be, sorry about that y'all! If we're able to update the listing, I'll put the download on the page- it runs smoother in the off-browser version.
