How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
The entire narrative revolves around an old, hand-me-down TV that the main character interacts with. It instigates in the players choices of what to buy and not to buy as the TV itself showcases the weird items it offers for you to buy.

Loved the vibe and art, and I enjoyed the little minigames throughout the duck dreams. Very comfy experience overall, nice work!
A lovely slow burn of an entry and a bunch of cool uses of the Renpy engine. Loved the 'watching tv all day with no lights on' vibe, the sleepy main character is so relatable. Lots of replayability with the different endings. The ducks ducked throughout very duckingly. Wonderful entry, I loved it. I got the 'duck channel/stingy shopper' ending.
thank you! ill review your game soon!
Lovely art~ Gotta be super creative to be able to write a visual novel, especially in a short amount of time! Love that you put in accessibility options too.
thank you!!
was simple and charming. The dream duck court was a fun idea
thank you! i had fun making it!
Hi! I played your game and wanted to share some feedback.
I really liked the visual style, the rooms and the character look fun and create an interesting atmosphere. The music is also very pleasant and fits the overall tone of the game.
As for some points to improve, the interface in the main menu is not very conveniently arranged, it would be better as a list along the left side from top to bottom. The music has a short loop, which can be a bit tiring since it plays continuously, it could help to add small pauses at certain moments. By the way, this could also be used as a tool to focus the player’s attention on something. The game could also use more sounds for interacting with the environment, with them it would feel much more atmospheric.
Overall the game left a good impression. Thank you!
thank you for playing and for the valuable feedback!
Really solid visual novel! I thought the writing and humor were just right, and the addition of little minigames was a nice touch! And of course, all of the art was fantastic, and the aesthetic was nice and comfy. Awesome work!
thank you so much! i will play your game as well when i get around to it :)
It is interesting that so many games feature ducks, but the loading screen sets expectations much higher than the gameplay delivers, and that feels disappointing.
Please check out and rate my game as well.
the loading screen? as in the main menu, or the thumbnail, or the renpy loading screen for when you start it up for the first time? i dont know what expectations were set, but it was pretty straight forward imo, how would u say that i fix that? sorry it was disappointing, i am working on my next gamejam to hopes that it will be way better :p
I meant the loading screen with the girl holding the Earth. When you see it, it creates a real “wow” effect and makes you expect that level of graphics in the game. The in-game visuals are not bad, but the contrast creates a bit of dissonance.
Thanks for replying to my comment, good luck at the game jam.^^
oh haha that's just the loading screen for the game engine that I used! I didn't know you could change it till after the jam ended lol
While not many will probably appreciate playing a visual novel, I think it was pretty cool for what it was. The mini games do help add something to the gameplay, though I think it might have been more interesting to maybe have focused more on the changes affecting the character? At first I almost thought there was going to be like a cosmic/eldritch horror kinda slant to how the character was being affected by the TV and altered, but totally understand working within the constraints of a week. Overall was a nice entry.
thank you for your criticism and thanks for playing! and yes haha it would have been nice to expand upon how it affected the character, but juggling school for 7 hours as well as trying to finish this took a hit on me lol
oh yeah 100%, i feel that. I worked on little games while i was in college, it's tough to find time to finish a project on a crunch like this
i liked the assortment of mini games and i just bought every single item that came up. fun and cute!
thank you!! :D
nice gamejam! Got the anti-consumer ending
thanks for playing! and good job!
DUCKSU
SO MANY DUCKS
Hey I'm getting this when I go to your game page FYI. Please make sure we can actually access the game, otherwise we'll have to disqualify you. Thank you!
Yes! I will make it public when I finish it today. Dont worry!!
Hey FYI, the page is viewable now but the game isn't playable. It needs to be playable and there need to be a downloadable Windows 10/11 version BEFORE the jam ends. Thank you!
fixed!
Thank you!
