Tricky puzzle platformer with a neat gimmick. I had to experiment with the mechanics a bunch at the start, but figuring out the rules for getting out of bounds was cool. Loved the variety of different levels. Pretty great for a first game project in a week, nice work!

How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
It’s inspired by the vertical and horizontal hold knobs on old TVs.

Clean use of out of bounds and clipping! Loved to how the moving the screen synergized with the movement!
Good joj!
Very clever mechanics! Would love to see more of it, it does get quite challenging at the end but overall it was a very pleasant experience!
Awesome game! I really thought the game mechanics were creative and were a great way to implement the theme of the jam! It can be a bit hard to grasp the mechanics and how they work, but after I understood them, it was really satisfying to solve seemingly difficult rooms by just removing the spikes.
Hi! I played your game and wanted to share some feedback.
I really liked the graphics, they are very pleasant, especially since I enjoy pixel art style. The levels are also well designed, and playing through them is engaging and fun.
One thing that made the game a bit tricky is that it is not always clear what to do at first, so I sometimes had to check a guide. Also, the VHS effects can be a bit distracting at times and make it harder to navigate.
Overall, the game left a positive impression. Great work!
Thank you so much for the feedback, it's super helpful!
Glad the level designs were enjoyable, massive credit and thanks to rainyseason / vincenpai!
Definitely will consider making special effects optional / customizable so it doesn't obstruct gameplay. Also, adding more immediate hints / cues of what to do to ease the player into the mechanics. We did have plans to do this, but ran out of time ;-;
Thanks again for playing our game! :D
Gotta be honest, I didn't really get how I managed to clip through the walls xD
The idea is cool though, if there was a better way to explain the mechanic, it would've been better ^^
Congrats on your first game btw :D
