I liked the experience. Kind of soothing?

Developer

I made a few updates, I would like to know how your new experience would be ^.^

Amazing work, it is so cool to hear that this is your first proper game. Hopefully the first of many!

  • Good visual presentation and main menu.
  • Awesome work adding poetry and flavor to so much of the text to build on the concept.
  • The player should be more visible and stand out. Usually the brightest thing on the screen and maybe a different color/shape.
  • Very cool to see procedurally generated levels. You could add variety by changing small things like the colors and shapes. Maybe there could be stuff around the outside of the play area too.
  • I was confused at first about what lights to get or not get. It would help if the bad lights look more scary. Like instead of just being yellow circles, they could be like spinning red squares.

Thanks for such a great feedback sir, I have made a few updates, hope they would be to your liking.

The ending scene is beautiful. Nice work with the lights and glows. I really hope you add a soundtrack to this. I would dampen the player's speed so as to make the movements less steep and match the gentle tone of the story.

Developer

I dampened the player speed a bit, but sorry for no soundtrack :(

I like the overall poetic atmosphere, and the message you want to bring. That's always my aim "to bring message in your work." , and I think you are doing it good!
Just a little bit more of gameplay and dynamic scene may even make it better! Good job, keep going!

Developer

Thank you so much!!! And I will give more depth to my future projects.

Awesome job. There isn't too much challenge here though. A stricter timer, maybe some movement or physics in the yellow orbs could help. A level reset could prevent allowing multiple mistakes to still beat the level. The wall elements seem to bleed into eachother, and the movement is so direct it makes avoiding obstacles really easy. I really like the camera, its fluid in how it smoothly interpolates between different movement directions. Great work.

Developer

Thanks for the appreciation, I will try to make it better and work on it more

Yellow lights are hard to avoid :/ but good game, very clean ^^

Developer

I see, I will try to find a solution for it hopefully.

It's a very simple game and I like it. The idea is very interesting, but the collision detectors for the yellow orbs need to be fixed.

I see, thanks for the advice mate, any other critisism?

Edit: I have updated the collision detector
