Take me back to the days of push-button phones and great Java games. This game could be one of them. It's just a great game, I really liked it! Perfect!

This game is insanely fun!! I really enjoyed this take on snake and loved getting upgrade and having little dudes ride on my back and help me. Nice work!

This was a lot of fun to play! Not much else to add other than what they have said below but I think you did amazing work here!

Fun game, nice job!

I would say the movement speed feels a little slow, I wish I could move at "blue potion speed" all the time. Very interesting idea!

Developer

There is a permanent speed upgrade available, but it can be a little dangerous as it makes the later levels in narrow corridors much more difficult. I'm trying a build right now with smaller maps and a 20% faster base movement speed though, and it's hectic but I think more fun.

The music slaps and I absolutely love that you added the little waypoints — it makes traversing the map so much more enjoyable!

Hey there, nice thing the little indicator that points you where you have to go to the next level. Control felt pretty good and tight, maybe the maps were too big, but it's pretty fine. Also, pretty polished main menu.

Super cool idea! I think personally it'd benefit from the map being slightly smaller and everything being slightly faster, but I really enjoyed it all the same!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! I'm testing a follow-up build now with a smaller map and it actually does seem more fun, as it avoids a lot of the frustration and tedium of getting lost looking around the maze.

Well done! I really loved the art and the controls felt really good. I do wish that the decay rate was a bit faster and that then there is more food. I felt like the decay was super urgent, but overall I really enjoyed it! I love the little friends I get on my back :)

Developer

That's an interesting idea. One thing that's not documented in-game is that when your snake is small, you get more food respawns. It would be interesting to try changing the pacing so that you need to eat food more frequently or decay even more rapidly, I would just have to be very careful about not allowing the RNG to punish the player with a food desert they can't get out of. Thanks for playing!

Amazing! I love the pixel art, the music, the ideas, everything!

Level 7 is not bad at all!The difficulty ramps up quite quickly after 5. Thanks for playing!
