Every time I found myself thinking, "I think I've clicked enoug, I'm good", I just thought "but what else is gonna go on top of this snail?" I was not disappointed. Super simple but super enjoyable.
I never thought I’d play a clicker about a snail, it’s a wonderful idea.
It’s really good XD
Such a nice incremental clicker upgrades game. Very cute.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
This is a good clicker with good pixel art. I like it!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
Nice game, it's the fastest snail ever!
I love that you had parallax scrolling!
Originally I had movie reference engines, like the WARP engine from star trek, hyperdrive for star wars, police box engine (Dr Who), improbability drive (HHGTTG) and one of the final engine was "Ludicrous drive". Unfortunately I had to scrap all that because I didn't want to get disqualified from the jam for copyright infringement, but I even made the icon and everything (it was a the big black helmet with a small face).
Truly a beautiful sight watching a snail go Mach 1,000,000.
You took the theme and limitation and executed them perfectly. The art is great and sells the idea of the snail going faster very well. The visual shift as you go the speed of light is also a really nice touch. The gameplay is your usual clicker experience but my brain loves watching numbers go up, that feeling is enhanced by also watching a snail break the sound barrier.
Genuinely fantastic work, and godspeed little snail.
I'm so glad you liked it! Your game is really cool too. Thanks for playing!
🐌
Nice game, nice work, nice art, nice sounds, nice concept, nice gameplay, nice everything, really enjoyable, lots of fun, this wil be a podium absolutely.
Good work!
I don't know about a podium, I've been to enough game jams to know voting is weird so I stopped worrying about that a long time ago.
The important thing is that you had fun playing it and I had fun making it! That's all that matters.
Thanks for the feedback!
Masterclass.
Thanks! <3
really cool, this is by far the fastest of gameplays ive seen here
Hi, yes, incrementals take hours to be played, sometimes even days where you can leave and continue the next day. But for game jams I try to nerf the numbers so people can play all the content in under 15 minutes.
Im glad you liked it, thanks for playing!
this is pretty addicting i have to admit. good presentation! also coupled as a good forearm workout because of how much i was spamming my mouse!
Quite fun and a bit addicting. I agree that making it into an idle game would be helpful as the clicking / hovering was a lot!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I thought about making it idle after the first 3 or 4 upgrades but unfortunately I didn't have the time. As I said before, I lost two days of the jam working on a game that ultimately didn't work so I had to make FTL Snail from scratch in one day (Sunday).
I'm glad you had fun, thanks for playing!
snail go brr. Really fun!
I'm glad you had fun, thanks for playing! BTW your game is so beautiful, I loved the atmosphere.
snail go fast
very very very very fast.
thanks for playing :-)
Loved it. To bad i also clicked and not hover. Got only to 0.1 of FTE but still, fun little jam game ;D
Thanks! I wanted to make the tutorial visible from the start (question mark at the top right of the screen) but on my last jam someone complained that it was too invasive to do so. Anyways, thanks for playing!
i loved every second of this! such a brilliant concept for a clicker game. id play a full version of this game so much.
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked it!
