How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
For me, "Retro TV" evokes memories of staying up late and watching reruns of things you probably was to young to watch. And then staying up even longer because you can't sleep.

Love the theming and concept of this game.  The core gimmick is solid, the puzzles are great, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Loved the little duck hunt as well, and the duck ending was a nice little surprise.

Very engaging! Looks nice, atmosphere is strong, and that ending... Nicely done! Also, what's with the arm on the bed? Does my guy have two right hands??

Hey, can we get a guide for the game please? Thank you!

I've uploaded walkthrough to the game's page.

Thank you!

There is nasty memory leak, caused by DX12 renderer not playing nice with multiple cameras. I'll upload fixed version after voting ends, because it contains some big changes and a lot of visual improvements beyond simple fixes. For now, you can force DX11 rendering by creating a shortcut for MidnightSurfing.exe and adding "-force-d3d11" (without quotes) as a launch argument.

Wow this is really well done, you made the kind of menu that I wanted to do with saturation/brightness/contrast that I ended up leaving out and the whole game itself is also really impressive. The game froze on me twice(seemed to just happen after like 10 minutes of playing without any rhyme or reason) and ultimately I gave up on figuring out the puzzles, but it was an enjoyable experience.

Thanks. I've honestly spent way too much time tweaking the TV, leaving only the last couple of days for mansion game itself. Had to scrap almost half of the planned rooms. I will check that is going on with freezing - probably memory leak over time.

Also, we used the same TV stand =)

Loved the atmosphere. It definitely felt like flipping though channels late at night. I love the twist at the end. I didn't really understand the billiards puzzle and got the answer from another commenter's video lol. Really cool game nonetheless.

Really cool puzzles intertwined with that feeling of watching TV when you're not supposed to.
I liked the horror angle to this game a lot, and the Resident Evil vibe of the horror movie made me nostalgic for RE1!
Only thing that kept me from finishing it was sometimes the remote wouldn't come up all the way and I couldn't see the buttons I was pressing.
Overall though I loved the art and channel flipping a lot, finding the ducks was really fun too!

I had a good time clicking through the mystery. Found myself quite a few ducks too. Really cool take on the theme. I too have fond memories of staying up late watching TV, but I never had any channels this eerie lol.
