Very cool game, I had a ton of fun learning how to make all the different thoughts!
I will add though - if you feel like your player won't immediately grasp the concept, it'd be better to have an in-game tutorial of some kind, even if it's a simple wall of text. Having to resort to a tutorial video on YT should be a bit of a last-resort situation, which I definitely understand you doing considering the time restraints with this jam.
The game itself was great as soon as you knew what you were doing, I definitely felt the restrictions of the decaying flame. I also thought the player's attack was very fun to look at, even if it wasn't used a ton. What you did with the shadow effect on the walls worked super nicely, it turned what would normally be a boring blank wall into something visually satisfying.
Very cool game with a nice concept! Shows a lot of potential! I could see it being developed further in a larger release and using the city building mechanic in a more in depth way. I was pretty confused at first, but the demo video helped a lot! Well done :) thanks for making and sharing it!
Cool sprites of merchants and enemies. I enjoyed exploring the world, like the others, I didn't figure it out right away, but then I realized what it was all about and it was cool to spend a week. It's a cool project!
I have to say, I didn’t quite understand what to do at first, but the demo video helped a ton! Very unique and I think the potential is there for a really cool game. You should keep working on it, with some tutorials and polish it would be very neat! Good job!
I love the concept! I feel like sound effects in this game could be so fun and make it pop a lot more. And it was a little hard to understand at first.
Either way there is definitely a unique gameplay loop here and I had fun with it.
this has some real potential, nice work!
el concepto de como se mueve la luz con las columnas me encanta!
Super ambitious concept for a jam game. The demo video helps.
Looks like the time run out but an interesting concept. Would love to see what it would look like with enough time
