good game. i like the idea that we dead if we hit only on the front.

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm pretty happy with the decision to go with running on top of obstacles, instead of going for the touch-anything-and-die or trying to add a double-jump mechanic.

Great game, great minds think alike!

It’s hard to comment without stroking my own ego since our ideas are quite similar in many ways. I do enjoy your artistic choice and approach. The challenge was nice and there was one particular point on the earth where i would struggle to time it just right, once I had mastered that I knew I could likely get higher scores.

After multiple attempts I was happy with my meager score. This has that additive layer which is great “just one more run” “i’ll get further this time” these are great internal thoughts for the player so well done :) Great job!

Thank you for the detailed comment! As it was my first game and jam, I wanted to focus on game feel and fun above everything else. So it means a lot seeing that it clicked with you and made you want to keep trying for a higher score means a lot!

I followed your page, by the way, and such a variety of graphical styles and genres is inspiring. I really liked Always on Time, and will play a few more. Thanks again for taking the time to play.

I keep finding myself coming back to this game in an attempt to keep beating my high score (which at the moment is 3.31). at first it was challenging with the jump charging but as I continued to play quickly enjoiyed the challenge in trying to adapt to the ever changing speed of the planet each revolution. love the look of the game especialy the planet.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play, and I'm flattered that it was good enough for you to want to come back to it more than once.

I've got big skill issue, but it's fine.

Soundtrack fits game perfectly, and level design is challenging. I don't know how that was supposed to be, but maybe make it a bit easier. Good luck!

Developer

Thanks! It was my first time making/publishing music for anything at all! Yeah, actually the first tall building I put in was a last-minute addition to make the start of the level more interesting, but it turned out to be way too hard and I ended up skill-checking players before they got a handle of the controls. Something to take into my next game. Appreciate the feedback!

At first I almost hated it, but didn't like it for sure. Now I'm pinning it on my phone home screen...

I'd like it more if I could change the zoom.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play and get over the "frustrating" part! Yeah, after playing it on my phone myself, I wish I had changed the scale a bit, but I was already committed. I'll keep that in mind for my next game!

Submitted

The controls were a bit hard to get used to but after that it was a really fun and challenging experience.

Developer

Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you liked it! I was inspired by Jump King for the controls. I liked the idea of Jump King, but making it rhythm based instead of pinpoint precision-based.

Great Game! Once I saw the dev mention a dev high-score I knew what my missions was. After few hours the highest I got was 5.95 (got over the building but jumped too high and was unable to jump over the 1x building afterwards…). I like how you can guess where someone died from the values X.88 is the tall tower. X.33 is the single to double downer stair. I love how as you get quicker some places can no longer be jumped through in the same way as you now travel further with jumps, but also some places become skippable with a long jump such as X.11 or X.25. Also the music looping perfectly with the loop of the planet was a very nice ascetic touch. There was a 2 times where I died even when landing on a building but over the hours that is insignificant. Well, I had a blast and thank you for making this game!

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play the game and experience everything! You mentioned a lot of things that most players didn't get to see, because they give up after a few runs. The fact that the level remains the same, but you have to approach it differently as you speed up, and the music looping perfectly were my personal favorite parts :)

Cool idea, kinda reminds me of the Dinosaur game, except around the whole planet

Submitted

It’s entertaining, I like the idea of the planet :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for taking the time to play! After prototyping the jump and rotating world physics, making it a planet just seemed obvious :D

Submitted

I liked it but found it difficult because when you are in the air you cannot charge the jump.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play! Yeah, jump mechanics are something I wanted to play around with more. I thought that would make it too easy, but perhaps that would have been the right choice.

Submitted

I really liked your game. It was well polished. It has a nice minimal esthetics. I also created a weird optical illusion: when the game was over, I could still see the planet rotate haha my best score was 1.19 :)

Developer

Thanks for the positive comment! I thought that was just my own eyes playing tricks on me from playtesting late into the night, but I experienced the same optical illusion.

Submitted

0.74 is all I could do!

I love the idea of the planet roating, it goes perfectly with the limitation of the jam. I am terrible at this kind of games, that is what I think a double jump or maybe some coyote time would help. Many times when ending the jump I touch the object in the "tangent" of the falling down curve.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play! I probably should have made it a bit easier to start, I guess I got too good at the game myself in playtesting!

Yeah, I ran into that bug, too, but wasn't able to completely get rid of it...

I past it to my friend that he is good at this. No less than 2.31! (he played till 3.31)

What I like from this game is its simplicity and it is perfect for mobile casual market. If you add a little challenge it can be very interesting.

Developer(+1)

3.31 is a very good score! Higher than anyone in the comments so far; tell your friend I'm impressed.

I'm flattered that you thought enough of my game to share it with a friend. Definitely gives me a bit of extra confidence to try again and continue to develop my skills :)

Submitted

:D I had another one in mind to share with, but he is in a trip now. If he has time he will definitively beat your record.

The more games you do, the sharper your mind goes. Do not stop, specially at the begining. Some become (comercially speaking) successful on the 3rd or 5th game. Rare are the cases it is on the 1st one.

Submitted

I never make it very far, but I have a lot of fun playing.

Developer

Thanks for taking the time to play! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think I made it a bit too hard; I was getting too good at it myself in playtesting :)

Great project! The controls are intuitive and the gameplay loop is clear right out the gate. The visuals are cute and overall it's a fun short game to play around in.

Just a note though your windows version does not work it lacks the .pck file that Godot produces.

I forgot to do this myself for my project but toggling on the "Embed PCK" button under "Binary Format" in the export window in Godot solves this issue.

Developer(+1)

Appreciate the comment! Intuitive controls and a fun couple of minutes were my goal experience for the user, so I'm happy to hear that.

Also thanks so much for the tip! The Windows version should be fixed now.

I’m reminiscing about my childhood playing Flappy Bird

Developer

Yeah, it was definitely inspired by one-button runners like Flappy Bird. Thanks for taking the time to play!

Simple but funiest gameplay. I like it!
High Score 1.31.

Developer

I'm glad you enjoyed it and took the time to try to get a high score! Thank you.

Liked the concept, would be even better if the map layout changed. HighScore of 2.31 :D

Developer(+1)

That's a great score! Thanks for taking the time to play. I was debating between designing a level and doing some procedural generation, and decided to go with a single design that changes how you approach it based on the speed (some jumps you can only do at certain speeds). I got a decent (3/10) level design I think, but wish I could have executed that better.

Submitted(+1)

This is hard man!! I've got to 1.81 but I like the idea of a rolling platform instead of the ordinary scrolling

Developer

Thanks! The rolling platform idea came from the jam limitation. What's more endless than a circle? Thanks for taking the time to play, and that's a great score! That jump is where a lot of my runs ended in playtesting, too.

Developer(+1)

Thanks to anyone who played!! Submit your high score in the comments, I'd be happy to see if someone could beat my score of 5.88.
