How does your submission fit the jam's theme?
Thinking about old TV I thought about Saturday morning cartoons and the Weather Channel. Its 40+ years old and before smart phones we had to watch the news in order to plan our vacations or what have you. We also threw in some old fashion cheesy low quality commercials and just general low budget local news vibes. We made the game take place in the 90s because that’s when the game jam team grew up and we were thinking about it nostalgic-ly also it hurts to admit it but that was like 30 years ago which by definition makes it retro.

Presentation with the old tv channel styled UI is great, fun gameplay once you figure what to do and the ads on the commercial breaks are a riot. Good job.

That's such a fun start screen idea, also really loved the commercial breaks and the additional figurines. Had a super fun time! :D

Nice presentation. Music was good, especially when it got all weird in the final level. Commercial breaks in between levels were a neat way of working in the retro tv theme.

I wasn't sure what I was meant to be doing at first and once I realised it did make the game pretty easy.

There was a bulborb so it's good

I loved the art, especially the main menu looking like an old cable TV UI! The music is a nice touch and the concept is really cool. I just couldn't figure out how to get the viewer rating up but it was still a nice experience! I'd like to go back and give it another go to see if I can win!

Aw shite, I just learned about the RedVox show in Baltimore.
Now if only I had money and time to go see them live :(...

About the game though, good stuff!
I got the duck ending? Who would've thought?
It made me chuckle, but yeah, those weather encabulators were the only thing keeping us safe, now we've lost the last one and we're doomed, again.

I digress, this game is a vibe and a half. I liked it!

I really enjoyed the commercial breaks, and I felt the whole game encapsulated the theme well! I think the gameplay could be made harder or more interesting by adding more buttons and gauges, or making the gauge vary more during the minute of airing. Otherwise, really cool game!

I do like the concept here, I think maybe I didn't really understand what to do but it seemed like the green area for the weather wasn't changing at all, so after putting the cursor there it was just waiting till the timer ran out. I think with some more events happening, maybe some stuff to spice up what you're doing with sudden events you have to account for, or ways to change your goal around so it's more challenging to keep viewers tuned in? The art style is cool too!
