This concept is so cool, but I really wish there was more done with it

Yeah, same here, we only had 2.5 days to spend on the jam, it really shows! Time management is always the hardest part of these jams...

Amen.

It’s taken a few game jams for me to get as good as I have at speedrunning the process

Interesting idea, the moving gears mechanic works! great sound design too and overall visual theme. I just find its not very clear why the cup or character move one way or another, maybe keeping this mechanic and putting it with a different theme or end result? good work overall, very clean ! If you want to try my short game, feel free to come by ;)

I like the concept! I would have liked if the gameplay was more challenging, as I essentially did the same thing every time. Still, I had fun, and I'd love to see this expanded upon!

Good work!

Thanks for playing!

We wanted to create more levels but ran out of time… but yes the idea (after many iterations) was to have multiple “output” gears and have some limits of where you could place the gears, have some more constraints that would require the player to actually have to think about the problem :)

Good clean fun! And the blueprint motif is right on point.

I didn’t understand immediately that the green gear controls the man’s movement. There might be a better way to communicate that, like making the output gear and the man the same color?

It was rewarding just to put gears together and fool around with them. I could definitely see playing a longer and more involved version of this.

Thanks!

We figured that having no artist in the team and not much time left, a clean vector look was clearly the easiest path and it fit the gameplay quite well :)

Yep I wanted to include some kind of symbol on the output gears to make its use more clear. At the moment you just have to guess and try things to figure out what does what.

Maybe we’ll do a postjam version someday!
