I liked that this reminded me of "Oh, Whistle and I'll Come to You, My Lad" in terms of beach-combing spookiness. I did both endings since my first go around ended too happily for my horror loving soul. Short and effective!

I always like when games teach me things about different culture and folklores, and I really enjoyed your game! It's suspenseful but cozy at the same time, and the details about Celtic folklore are interwoven nicely rather than info-dumped.
The layout and design of your game is really fitting and effective. I enjoying playing it multiple times to see how the different choices affected gameplay.
I really enjoyed this! Had not heard of the merrow, or the cohuleen druith before, but it’s such a rich bit of folklore to draw on! I also appreciated that the game gave me the option to do right by the cap’s owner. (Although I am also keen to go back and try some unwise bargaining too!)

Charming rather than horrifying, but still very enjoyable for all that. I wouldn’t have minded another couple of encounters, but given the short timescale this is still pretty impressive.
Wikipedia suggests the idea that the cap has feathers is a mis-reading. I have no idea :D

Huh, sounds like you might be right about the cap. It seems like it’s possible that the feathers on the cap might have made its way into the more modern retellings of the original folklore. I was actually listening to something just last week about how the folklore surrounding vampires had shifted over time. Like everyone knows about garlic, but something you pretty much never see any more is roses being used to repel or trap vampires in their graves. Anyway, just a rambling aside.
