Hey there!
My name is Thijmen Bos. I am a Dutch ex AAA-level programmer.
I worked on the unreleased game "Exodus" (being revealed this month at the game awards).
I sadly got laid off earlier this year, so I have been working on my own game. It is a multiplayer social deduction game similar to Among us, but mostly Project Winter and LOCKDOWN Protocol. I want to go for a dark occult theme.
The game takes place in fully destructible procedurally generating caves. Players find themselves trapped, forced to perform a ritual to please an evil god. There are 1 or more moles looking to prevent this ritual from happening. The moles can sabotage and stall the ritual to buy themselves enough time to kill everyone.

The ritual has a progress bar. When this bar reaches a certain percentage, a meeting is called. This forces everyone to return to the center spawn platform. If they don't, they will be consumed by a dark fog and die. On that center platform, a vote will now take place. No one can leave the platform until the vote is over. All communication is via proximity chat. I will add an item that will allow the user to survive into the dark fog once. This will allow players to essentially fake their death. But there's a twist to the average social deduction meeting.
You can vote an infinite number of times per round. However, each time you vote, you lose HP that cannot be regenerated. Your health becomes a currency. Players can also call a meeting themselves, but this also costs permanent HP.
More about the game will follow after we have met.
To see some details about the cool tech of the project, take a look at my portfolio page for the game (lots of these things have already changed, and all of it is W.I.P): https://www.thijmenbos.com/proceduralcave
The Proposition:
We are just about to leave the prototype stage, and that means I will be needing an artist to help me out. I am looking for a 3D generalist artist comfortable with stylized art (PEAK/Content Warning type artstyle). That means you should have some experience with the following:
- 3D modeling props and characters (environment and lighting is less important since the entire map is procedurally generated)
- Texturing
- Rigging and animating
- Preferably VFX skills using Unreal Engine
- Preferably 2D and UI skills (Includes concept art)
If you have some of these skills and my pitch excited you, please do not hesitate to contact me anyway. I see it happening that I will end up working with 2 or more artists. The more skills you have the better though.
If we come to an agreement and I want to work together with you, I want this collaboration to last for the remainder of the project. My plan is to release in late 2026.
As for compensation, I am open for two outcomes: Flat fees paid via contract work, or I will offer a revenue share. This is up for discussion and will depend on how many skills you bring and how much time you will invest.
If you are interested, please contact me on one of these platforms and send me your portfolio/evidence of your work:
