I’m very intrigued by this idea, but i fear i’m too stupid to understand how it works :(. It seemed to me that the market always went lower than i had purchased things at, forcing me to borrow, making the amount i needed to make even higher and more impossible to achieve. Also I didn’t really have a good idea of how I should guess if things are going to go up or down. At first I thought, “Aha, there must be a minimum, I’ll wait till it’s really low” then the market crashed :(.

So overall I like the innovation here, and the presentation / execution is very minimalistic and stylized which i love. However I feel I am too dumb to play this game, or needed a better onboarding to understand how things were supposed to be working.

I was having a lot of fun! Sold my kidney though.. Enjoyed a lot, thank you!

Neat! Took me few tries but made it through with my kidney.

I'd bet that a lot of the inspiration here comes from Papers Please. But it's distinct enough so it's not too similar. One thing really bringing it down is the steep learning curve. It pretty much throws too much at you at once right from the get go. Maybe a friibie day at the start and a bit slower ramp up for the costs would be nice to ease in to what is actually going on a bit.

Never really understood what that auto thing was. Tried it a few times but couldn't figure it out so I did it manually. Also never even tried the collapse functionality as it was so damn expensive. I did go back to try it now but it just seems too expensive to be forth it. Also realized now that the right hand side buttons are somehow related to the auto buy/sell functionality but still can't quite figure it out.

But I did manage to do a lot better now by doing it the same manual way with some smarter investments. 😎

Anyways, not much else the comment about. The sounds were quite neat and the visuals served their purpose well. Good job! 👍

Wow, I never thought it was possible to get that result without ever collapsing the function. I hope you haven't used all your luck here!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I think I've spent 80% of time just on the trading screen, finishing everything else in last minutes ¦3

Great visual effects! Never thought the theme could be interpreted this way!

Dopamine central, very fun and frustrating (in a good way). The symbol you use for the stock amounts looks a bit too much like a 2, so at first I thought you could only trade in 21+ units at a time (but the game quickly made it clear that that's not the case)

Submitted(+1)

Well, that is not too far from real world trading - at least if you are into cryptos. :)

Maybe I was missing some UX features. Mostly easily setting MAX and MIN amounts and being able to easily see how big portion of my bank I'm currently investing. But you cannot get everything done during a jam of course.

Cool challenge to attend two jams at the same time and stay faithful of both of their themes at the same time!

Very cool, and stressing. I am not sure if it is hard or If I am not a good player.

It's a shame I barely made any money. :) It was an interesting experience to survive by borrowing money recklessly and running the heater in extreme situations. Best of all, I loved how the unknown future prices were presented by overlapping multiple random graphs together. If the difficulty balance is done well and there are many fun events, I think it could become a much more enjoyable game!

great theme interpretation and a quite addictive gameloop

I lost everything. I love this game

While I did find the audio and graphics highly commendable, I didn't enjoy the gameplay too much (Don't take offense, it's probably because I've played a few games like this before). Overall though, quite impressive, especially for just one month of development.

This was really cool! A nice combination of interesting gameplay with a bleak narritive sprinkled throughout. I feel like the slightly clunky UI worked in the favour of the trading-console interface.

Can't get the game to load in the browser. Unsure why.

Developer

Oopsie! Of course, everything works on my side, so it would be nice to know your configuration ¦3

Maybe you can share some details, like what OS/browser do you use?

Submitted

Linux / Brave Browser (Chrome)

Developer

Oh, you're right, it doesn't work with anything Chrome-based on Linux due to some shader compilation problem.

Strangely enough, all is good with Chrome on any other platform, or with Firefox on Linux.

Thanks for reporting! One more configuration to test ¦3
