Game description
A first-person space survival puzzle game set inside a damaged lone starship drifting near a massive black hole. The player must decode distorted radio signals by solving sound-based mini-games while protecting critical ship systems. Periodic gravitational waves emitted by the black hole damage onboard machines, forcing the player to repair them to stay alive. The goal is to stabilize the radio signal to 100% and uncover the narrative hidden within it before running out of oxygen or being pulled into the black hole.

Theme interpretation
The theme “Waves” is expressed through multiple layers of gameplay and narrative. The core puzzles revolve around manipulating and interpreting radio waves and oscillations. Meanwhile, the environment constantly threatens the player with gravitational waves emitted by the black hole, creating systemic disruptions the player must counteract. The story itself unfolds in narrative waves, revealed progressively as the signal becomes clearer. Waves are thus both the core mechanic and the primary environmental force driving tension and progression.

The game was pretty fun! I love the concept of running around a failing ship and trying to get the radio fixed. The minigames were fun and forgiving which I love. I feel like the crisis happens slightly too often and I kept dying for reasons I did not understand. I was able to work around the Azerty issue and finish most of the puzzles. I think moving a little faster of sprinting could have been helpful. I liked your smoke effects. The voice acting is always a delight and so rare in game jams. The screens are pretty as is the diagetic UI stuff. You maybe made it slightly too shiny as in some angles the light would block the UI but maybe that was intentional. Really strong showing it looks really professional and polished and plays well.

Awesome game, you feel the tension there. The movement (only right and back) is on purpose or is a bug in my computer? Couldn't move forward or left, so it gets harder...

Thanks a lot ! We missed on implementing keyboard remapping so I suppose you played in QWERTY but since we use AZERTY out here your WASD is translated to ZQSD, sorry for that inconvenience :/

The ambient is quite good that I thought it was part of the game (the character was hurt or something in the way) and couldn't move in "normal" way.
