Took me a few tries to figure it out, but worth the effort, thoroughly enjoyed throwing pints around and trying to manage serving and filling the beers.. Thirsty work!

Great submission!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Your game was fun to play. Haven't seen a lot of drunkards gameplay hehe. Good choice for music as well. Are you planning to work on the game after the jam is over? You certainly should. Well done!

Developer

Thanks a lot Marty! I'm glad you enjoyed playing, I definitely want to make some changes to the game now after seeing all the feedback, and I would love to finish off a more polished game with more content, thanks for all the positive feedback!

Very cool mechanics! Was a bit lost about what to do at the beginning, but ended up figuring it out.

Like the music as well!

I kept getting confused between space and e, I'm not sure if there is a real need to have a different button for those actions? Also sometimes I was throwing beers absolutely not where I wanted to, not sure what I did wrong, and couldn't figure out how to pick them back up 😅

But very fun game, nice entry!

Developer

Thanks for playing! If I could go back I definitely would have made space and e both use the same button, as well as include a better tutorial. Not sure what the issue was with your beers going the wrong way, will have to check that out. Thanks a lot!

That was fun hahah the mechanics were solid. I forgot how to use the register so I got to 12:59 without upgrades and got a double ending screen, the first said I was overpowered and the second said I closed up shop - victory! The controls were really good. Style reminded me of prison architect

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! That is insanely impressive to get to the end without any upgrades! Hahahaha, you've inspired me to go try do the same now! Just checked out your game and it is really cool, very fun concept and good execution!!

This was fun!

The throwing mechanics were very funny, and controls felt responsive.

I recommend upgrades or something like an ai controlled bartender helper or the ability to carry more at once like on a tray.

Good work on this creative entry!

Thanks for playing the game! I did actually add a cash register in the bar where you could buy upgrades like the multi carry you mentioned but I understand it is quite hidden away and not too obvious to use, thanks a lot for the feedback!

Funny game! I wish real bartenders could move that fast with four pints ¦3

The controls were a bit overwhelming; you can probably simplify them to just a couple of buttons (non-mouse, as it is painful to click that much).

Developer

Hahaha, thanks so much for playing the game! I definitely agree with you about the controls, I would for sure change them now in hindsight

Love the music! It was confusing at first to have 3 different interact buttons.

Also how did you git the sprites to wiggle like that? I assume some sort of sin function/animation?

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing and leaving feedback! I definitely agree about simplifying the interact buttons. For the wiggling sprites I used the animation player in Godot to rotate the sprite 15 degrees one direction, then back to the center and then 15 degrees in the other and then back to the center. I also made the sprite position raise a couple of pixels and then go back to normal in time with these swings to make it seem more bouncy, I hope this helps!

it took alot to understand how it working, but overall i liked

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing, just checked out your game and it was really fun to play!!!

I think the game needs some refinement, it's hard to understand what you have to do and how to do it

Thanks for the advice, I definitely agree that a tutorial was very much needed!

Missing a tutorial. There is a short intro saying what needs to be done, but not how to do it. My best attempt was:

  • Go to the shelf and pick an empty glass with [space]
  • Run to the bar and fill the glass with E

My hope was, that "serving" a beer like this will make the drunken leave, but they just styed and more keep coming. There was no way to "throw" a beer with click, at least I couldn't figure out, how.

Developer(+1)

Hi, thanks so much for playing and leaving this great advice! I was a bit short on time so I had to rush the intro part unfortunately,  It seems like you might have been having your issue because you need to press E again once the pint is poured to pick it up to throw. I definitely agree with you now that the controls do not make enough sense for it to play well, thanks so much for this! I'll be sure to check out your game too!

Yeah, was missing that one. We are till allowed to edit the game page. You might want to leave a hint there for other players, just so they can fully enjoy it. Thanks for coming back to this :-)

I liked the gameplay, i wish there was tutorial tho.

Developer

Thanks, I definitely agree with you that I needed a tutorial, if I had some more time I would have made sure to add one

It was really fun to throw beers to customers ) Controlls seems a bit too complicated but anyway Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I agree that I should have focused on making the controls comfortable and have more guidance, thanks for the advice!
