What a bizzare experience.
I had some resolution issues - a lot of the minigames appeared only on a part of the screen which may have been intended, but mouse did not always correspond to where I was clicking. This made shooting cops seemingly impossible (or it was skill issue idk)
Found out that without savescumming it was good ol' Tommy who gave me the most money. I mean 50 bucks for a shank? In this economy? XD
I find the artstyle and general chaoticness very cool. The windows popup at the start was great.
Went to check out your other things and hacking Pirate's "unhackable" videogame cracked me up.
Keep up the good work. You have my admiration for making your engine and Jamming in it.
Thanks for the positive feedback i am actually really happy from all this feedback ive been reciving :D. and yea il fix the upscaling
And thanks for checking me out love ya man :D
bug explanation: Fullscreen works only on 16:10 thats a flaw with the low level upscaling. Which has mainly ended up in the final build because i forgot to set the base resolution to something sensable when i started. And also i didnt sadly have the time to write an upscaler from scratch.
(thats not hard its just that it has to offset the hitboxes too and that takes time)
Well that was unsettling, but also interesting, the unpredictability got a chuckle out of me. The gambling wasn't much of a gamble though, as I only ever got double money or lost half of it, so I basically got stuck in an infinite loop, and the jobs don't give enough money to affect much.
Thanks for the feedback i really appreciate it. I dont usually get this much positive feedback (or feedback in general)
but yea the only proper way to beat the game is to save scum on gamba (f2,f3) (cuz working makes no money inspired by real life)
the themes hit or miss its deeply inspired by the czech game series znk from the czech underground rapper (butcher) Řezník
You're welcome and thank you for the save scumming tip! I was happy to see there is a save system at all and that I didn't lose my hard earned bucks from the last session. There's just something really interesting about the overall vibe of this game so in the end I'm glad I got to come back to it. I hope the debt collector guy enjoys his 70k bonus. xd
xdd damn well thats a bug
Definitely checking this one out. Best of luck in the voting stage!
Thanks i appreciate the positive feedback :D

Spent a minute shooting cops, gained 13000 dollars in the casino and then lost it all. 10/10 for realism.
In all seriousnes, if you are meant to actually finish this, I don't know how. All of the jobs give pocket change compared to the debt and the only minigame that isn't a chore is shooting at cops.
The ambience is pretty tight and the scientology lair got a chuckle out of me.
gambling is the only real way to get money. since well working kind off also is a chore and overall doesnt make much so yea (minimum wage)
(yes working at the factory makes the least money ofc all the illegal ways make way more) inflation or something
(hint for gambling save scum f2,f3)
and yea the ambience.wav is from freesound.org and i forgot to change modify it to not say that
