Wow the assets were great!
Loved the attention to detail on the environments and things like footsteps.
I twisted the dials but didn't end up getting a drone to crash.
I'm sorry you didn't get to play my entry, I hope you give it another shot!
It was too dark , i could not see almost anything... but the art was really nice!
Very cool and moody!
I completely locked myself after the fourth drone expedition after getting the lantern. And don't really feel like playing the whole thing again.
Spent a ton of time figuring out the wave matching puzzle the first time. It was pretty intuitive to solve but few things made it though to get accustomed to. The biggest thing was the constant need to fiddle and follow the target blip. Of course you might later on figure out that you can kinda match the direction and speed and it'll keep aligned for some time at least but that didn't help when getting started. Also all those extras being there from the get go made it needlessly more compicated. Would have been maybe better idea to introduce them after the first radio burn or something. The second big hurdle on trying to solve the puzzle at first was the weird delayed effect on the leftmost knob. And of course one big annoyance with this puzzle was the fact that the red blip was so often just nowhere to be found for lenghty periods of time. Also a bit weird that the right know really served no purpose at all as all the drone waves were identical in that department. Dunno if it would be needed for other colors or even if you ever need to decipher those. I tried matching one once but the message didn't really tell me much and the button seemed to do nothing but play a faint crashing sound. Are those just red herrings and lore?
Quite a lot of the objects were weirdly placed. Things were hovering and clipping through walls and boxes and some objects like most door, the starting room carpet and at least few chairs had this nausiating glitchy jittering effect. Didn't give a great first impression when the starting room was flickering that badly on all movement.
Otherwise it looked and especially sounded great! The increasingly menacing sounds were painting a top notch atmosphere. If I'd have to critique something about the sounds though, the radio (and other carried objects) clanking on walls and everything else without any cooldown/delay or even variation was pretty irritating to listen to.
I'm also not a big fan of pointless functionalities like the sprint here. There was no stamina or no noise making, never any reason not to be sprinting really. If you need a sprint button with no downside or cost, your basic walking speed is just tuned to be too low and if might as well be the default (or some other middle ground).
Anyways, good job! 👍Very interesting concept, unfortunately my browser tab crashed as soon as i incinerated the radio though. Nice work anyway!
Amazing game!! I love the psx art, but I was stuck in the red underground section
Interesting idea, i really like the concept, and the art is amazing to
An interesting concept. I really enjoyed the setting! Excellent sound design and great visuals - loving the classic Cold War atmosphere that's on display here. Exploring the environments had me on edge; I noticed that the landscape seemed to change each time I went outside, which was a brilliant touch. Nicely done!
thank you! the sound design and visuals/level design was a huge focus for this project. glad to hear that it had an impact. thanks for playing!
what an effort, i wondered all around the map, amazing liminal spaces out there
Thanks for playing!
We were all hoping that some people would understand our concept!
Really loved this one! It reminds me of the game "No One Lives Under the Lighthouse."
My only feedback was that I was stuck in the red underground section for a very long time. I don't know what I did to find the exit so definitely a skill issue on my part.
high praise! no one lives under the lighthouse has beautiful environments.
don't worry, you're not the only one who's been stuck there. we wanted to find a better balance between that dread and also ease-of-access, but ran out of time to iterate more on it.
thanks for playing, it means a lot :)
Loved your game, super interesting.
thank you for playing :)
i was so on edge, the thank you message jumpscared me lol
if you look really close, you can see the exact moment we realized the month was almost over
