Very short, but also very fun! Figuring out how the hero's navigation mechanic worked was a neat little puzzle, a little more intricate than I expected.

There's a fun little bug that I believe I know the issue of. Essentially, enemies can "ride" other enemies if the above enemy moves downward onto another enemy (easiest way is to spawn the second enemy directly below an already existing one), and only detaches once the above enemy tries to move upward. This is likely because you forgot to set the "Motion Mode" of your CharacterBody2Ds to "Floating" (typical for top down games) from "Grounded" (typical for platformer games), which essentially treats the bottom enemy as a moving platform. Doing this, you can ferry a Cyclops with a Bat for a short period, which is a fun kind of emergent gameplay. Maybe something to turn into a feature if you ever expand on it? ;P

Developer

Thank you!! I noticed the bug you mentioned and I had no clue where it came from thanks a lot of the info! I can definitely see it turn into a neat feature :)

Really fun game. I can see this being even better if you add more mechanics and hero varieties

Developer

Thank you very much for enjoying my game! I intend to continue the development of the game adding more mechanics and improving the AI of the hero, add objectives etc...

Really made me feel like a villain, I despised this plucky arrogant hero by the end and had to kill him. Nice reversal of the Survivors genre. My only instinct would be to go bigger. Way bigger. Hundreds of enemies (allies?) getting mowed down by flying buzzsaws and whatever nonsense from the horrible heroes. :)

Developer

Thanks for playing and enjoying my game! I totally agree with you that having true massive waves for allies would be great. I just couldn't get around to doing it in time.

Really cool game, I wish you had more time to add more mechanics, this was acutely really fun, I rly enjoyed it, it was quite boring after a while bc nothing was happening, Bur for a jam this is rly cool

Thanks a lot of trying out my game! I'm glad you enjoyed it and I totally agree with you that it is lacking in mechanics and overall content.

You had turned the top-down survival ideas upside down and had me clicking frantically. One of the most unique entries in the jam in terms of gameplay. Nice job!

Developer

Wow, thank you so much for that kind comment :D

Nice concept. It would be better to describe control. It took a while until I figure out why user go out of the screen

Developer

Hey! Thanks for playing my game, hopefully you got some enjoyent out of it! I described the controls on the itch's game page and I hesitated to also add them in the game, I guess I'll do that next time :)

Hey I just played your game!
I liked your idea of doing a reverse vampire survivors game! It took me about 4 attempts to win. I just used cyclops to force the hero into a corner and then spammed ghosts on him.  I would be interested to play the game again if you ever make additions to it!

Developer

Hi, thanks for playing my game! I Used the same tactic when developing it. I'll make sure to try out your game once get back home today :)
