Really cool game. I like that you can play it with one hand mouse only. With a bit more variety and progression feeling this can becom a super fun game. Congrats !
funny game, loved the mechanic of switching between walls to dodge the bullets
I managed to get to 13 waves, Awesome game with nice gameplay.
13 waves! This game needs online leaderboard!
Other than that- the gameplay is intense. The "jumping" seems a bit off. I'm almost certain, that sometimes I landed in a bit different place than I intended- no matter!
The shooting and destroying enemies is properly juicy. The tiny pause after you defeat the enemy makes each win feel really impactful! Good job on enemy variety and different powerups!
The graphics are simple- maybe they cold bit more detailed, but you balance it out nicely with effects (animated text, the small pause, I written about). The sound was fittingly oldschool, and the music fit the action.
Over all- I enjoyed playing your game- keep up the good work!
Nice ship war game
Very fun little game. Controls feel very unique and solid (could maybe be exploited even further!). The UI sliders were a bit unclear to me, but you have some really creative ways of showing players information (reloading animation is very cool). Cool entry!
Great game! well done on your entry into the game jam, addictive gameplay loop and neat execution of the theme!
I guess I got to the end as enemies stopped spawning at round 18 and I would complete the round and get another upgrade. I wish there was a little more upgrade variety, but love the details and juice you put into the gameplay, very satisfying watching the reload animation and the bullets are so chunky and feel great! Honestly would play more of it if there was a little more reason to keep me playing :D
Cool entry. Real atari 2600 vibes with the graphics. The random upgrades are cool and really add strategy and replayability. The handicaps of reloading and variation in aim are great tools to make you want to get the upgrades to get to higher rounds.
A bit more sound design (though the simple blips fit the atari 2600 vibe) and music would be a good addition I think. Cool stuff!
The balance mechanic in a single control room was a nice idea. Moving between walls and fighting enemies was fun. The only unclear part was how the ammo regenerated. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience. Well done!
One of the best entries I've played yet, awesome job :) Very impressive level of polish from the particle effects when the player lands on a wall to the blood splatter left behind by enemies to the wavy shader on the wave number text. Lots of little things that add up to a really cool experience. Sfx are nice and crunchy and fit the vibe of everything well, but some background music would help elevate the experience. The upgrades in between waves is a great touch and made the whole thing more fun (a couple of wacky options like bullets bounce off walls once/twice/etc or dashing threw enemies damages them would have been fun too).
The enemy variety is great and each is easily legible/distinct which is an impressive feat given the limited colors and pixels. I loved the reload animation on the player sprite, would have been very cool to have a similar "reverse" animation when the player is shooting to give an indicator of when you will run out of bullets.
Overall, I had a lot of fun with your game's core mechanic and the level of polish is spectacular. Excellent entry, keep it up!!
thx man, you really made my day, im really happy that u liked it :>
this one here is juicy, NiCE!
