the basics of this game is very good! I really like the idea, and i love rhythm games. It was very hard to get the timing right, expecially because the music didnt line up very well. Also, going into negative points is just salt in the wound, i think that the lowest being 0 or -50 would be nice. anyway, good job, this was fun!
Great idea and lovely art style. I was off with timings a lot, some grace time would have been nice. I encountered a bug, pressing pause crashed the game. Also, when music ended that was it??? Overall a solid effort and worth investing some more time into for polish.
I think a tutorial will help immensely. I wasn't really sure what to do/when to press. I see the text but then i see the rocks or dots moving around and unsure if I'm playing the game correctly, which i'm not most of the time since the score keeps going negative.
Guru's got rythm! Like mentioned below there is no obvious flow in this game. Pressing A or D at some time indicated by an instruction text is not very fun. There are some game design lessons to draw from this. Never make a game more complicated than necessary and always make sure the player knows what they are supposed to do.
I kind of understand what you were after with this game. The art is cool. Music fits the theme well.
But something is just off about the gameplay, and I'm not even able to say if it works as intended or do I not just get it. In rhythm games, hitting the beat should be intuitive. So intuitive in fact that additional visual guides quickly become meaningless when you "ride the beat". In this game, it just seems to be impossible to get that feeling. Timing to hit things seem very tight and the player does not really get any feedback when missing the timing.
I think there is some potential here. The game seems very charming. But it doesn't seem it wants to be enjoyed.
The art is so fun! I also love the sounds the little guys in the background were making. It was silly and enjoyable, but I had a little trouble grasping the controls.
I like the art, and the concept is good, the calibration menu doesn't work because you can't return to the start from it and I couldn't get the A action to works, once the song finishes on the first level then the game just stops advancing.
Hope this info is useful and look forward to seeing more works for each of you in the future
It's not a bad idea but it's not well executed, there are a lot of things that don't work. The art is cool, though
The menu doesn't have audio, the calibration system doesn't work and i could just play the first level (the game crash) and regarding the gameplay it could be better.
The base is really good, keep working on it and it would be a good game.
The art is super enjoyable and the kind of in environment rhythm thing is really cool I love the idea of a rhythm game making shapes on the land as you do it. It felt a little merciless a longer buffer might be good, that was some tight timing haha especially with inputs all over the screen so catching them was tricky. I like the bones and the art style and sound design is definitely there.
Hey, great art! Didn't manage to advance, buttons in pause screen stop responding. Also hard to have a good timing, and game just stops..
The game is really fun to play. I really like the art.
Hmm, it's hard to control! I can't figure out how to get guidance from the masters; I pressed the button but still lost points.
this is a pretty funny game.
