Fun puzzles with a cool concept

This one is so cool!!

This is a fantastic game. I love the interpretation of the theme and the mechanic of adding to the level to be to able beat it! The block variety was fun and created some interesting dynamics.

This is more of a nitpick, but my only gripe is the platform lock-in control being the same as jump. While I like the simplicity of it being one button, I am so used to forgiving features like coyote time with jumping in other games that I would often place platforms when I was expecting to jump instead. Particularly with the bouncing platform.

That was my only issue though, everything else was top notch! I wanted to keep playing when it was time for me to stop. 10/10

Lovely! I got stuck at level 7 because I picked too hard, but the puzzle designs are awesome and the mechanics unique, well done!

The main mechanics of the game were very interesting and unique. I had a lot of fun with the puzzles, and the music isn't bad at all. The inclusion of a difficulty option was great and made the game more challenging.

A couple of minor improvements could be showing what type of block would appear next.I also had the problem of accidentally freezing the blocks.

Overall, this is a very fun and enjoyable game with a lot of potential. Good luck!!!

Clever mechanic and great interpretation of the theme! I loved the minimalist feel that the game had, both in terms of visuals and audio, and each level being a different colour was a really nice touch. I agree with some of the others that I accidentally froze my blocks too early, just as they had dropped in - I definitely think that needs a cooldown. Overall I really loved it though, great job!

I love the concept "Build your own level with the pieces I give you." and different tiles having different mechanics while you play them and when they are placed is amazing. What I would really like would be a different key for placing stuff, I kept on placing tiles while trying to jump back already. Also I know this is a design choice and I totally respect it but, maybe "resets" could only reset the last tile instead of the whole level to fix the one misplaced tile, which sometimes completely ruins the level and also ruins the pacing while you have to put all those tiles back on spots. I had a lot of fun playing it!

Nice twist on platformers! I also like the simple but strong art style.

There was a lot times when I wanted the game to go a bit faster. The character controlled well but the gaps between gameplay were very long, like the camera panning back to the start, waiting for the block to come down the tube, and even at the end of a level there's a small delay before the "next level" button is shown.

I really liked the last level, I saw the new block and put the first one in the crevice to see what happened... only to recognise it the second time I had it. I thought "what if it's like that other game" and sure enough it was :D and then there was a puzzle using it immediately. It was a really strong way of ending the game.

Thanks for playing, I'm really glad people can figure out the last level it's my favourite!

Getting the pacing right is hard and I agree it's not quite right yet. There are a couple of delays (particularly the platform coming out the tube) that aren't supposed to be happening. The pause before the next level button comes up is while your total score goes up, it's in the bottom corner and I think easy to miss so it looks like nothing is happening. Should probably be on the main stats in the centre of the screen. Pacing will definitely be a focus if I develop this further after that jam!

I like the game a lot, good job

A simple concept very nicely done. Good job!

Thank you!

I loved the combinations of different platform types and using them effectively. Sometimes it can be awkward when accidently pressing space twice, but that's apart of the gameplay experience. The game and sounds felt very clean and the music was a great fit with the aesthetic.

neat interpretation of the theme! if i had to add anything to improve it, maybe tell the player what kinds of platform the queue has for that level; and also the button to “freeze” your platform in place could also be a different button - i accidentally placed things several times and had to use a reset, which didnt feel very fun.

All in all, nice game! Keep up the good work :P

What I actually wanted was to allow the player to see all the platforms at the start and choose the order that they will come out in but I didn't have time. Since I ended up putting the platforms in an optimum order for completing the level I decided not to tell you what was coming next otherwise it became a bit easy to solve the level without any trial and error. As for freeze on a different button when I tried it it made the game a bit too easy although I might make it an option/add it to easy mode. I should probably add a bit of leeway to jumping though so it doesn't freeze when you are like one pixel off the ground and jumps instead!

That was pretty fun and enjoyable. Loved the music and the mechanics - although I struggled with mis-timed jumps that caused me to place the block prematurely

It's so pretty and polished - I really enjoyed the game and it's aesthetic and found myself wanting to explore more! Idid find myself accidentally platforming a lot when mistiming a jump, it'd be really nice for the keys to be separated out! I'd really like to play a non game-jam version of this

Developer(+1)

I did have them on separate keys for a while but the game became a bit too easy, the main challenge is really timing your jumps and practicing getting good at jumping with different platform types. Might add a toggle to put it on different buttons or add it to the easy game mode for those who want a less challenging time though!

Really neat! I like the music choice as well

Developer

Thank you, I only had a day to write the music so its a little rough round the edges but I'm very happy with how it came out :)

Really cool idea. Such a simple concept with lots of potential

Developer

Thanks! I really wanted to make more levels as there were a lot more things I could think of even with the limited mechanics but didn't have time!
