I was stuck at first, but getting more familiar with the rules each playthrough made me feel smart :)
I like the draw and discard piles stats you can see when hovering over them. Some less-repetitive music would be nice. Great work
This is freaking genius, played this for an hour; really clever mechanics and super fun to see your deck grow and mutate, lots of avenues for strategy. The way the theme blends in with the gameplay is so so cool
This was a whole lotta fun! It took me a second to get the hang of what I was doing, but once I figured it out, it was really satisfying to merge all my cards and see them getting stronger. Also halfway I was like "oh shit I'm burning through all my cards" so it's really cool how the game sets you up to strategize not just how you rack up your damage against the creature, but also how you rack up your card generation. The most satisfying moment was when I realized you could use the multiplier card on another multiplier card. If y'all were to ever keep working on this, I would love to see how more game juice can add to the game's experience, especially since most of it happens when you're looking at your hand. Especially with the theme and style you already have going for it, doubling down on that "weird" and "intense" vibe can really make this a special game. Sick asf!
This is fascinating. It's the first RLDB I've seen that uses your draw pile as your turn-limiting resource, so you can stall forever if you keep adding to the pile (if you're lucky).
Really solid card game! I really liked how the mechanics worked together, multiply was really nice in conjunction with mutate 2 and gather :) it was fun!
This is a great mashup! Merging by level but not type makes for some fun and tough decisions.
brb im spending the rest of the year playing this
Glad you liked it!
I like it! The combining cards mechanic really got to me after it finally ‘clicked’. I didn’t get to any sort of ‘win screen’ so I’m assuming I still have more levels to beat, and it seems like a fun challenge to come up with strategies.
Thank you! There are 8 levels in total.
