Really enjoyed the concept of switching sides, it made for a weirdly chill experience because I didn't mind dying, it was just nice to see the story play out. I agree with the comments that the attacks need to be a bit more responsive though.
EDIT: Forgot to say, the demon designs were amazing!
I’ll reply to this comment, but it’s really in response to everyone who’s mentioned this - when you say the attacks aren’t responsive, you’re referring to the delay before they actually attack, right? Would some sound effects and visuals help, to make it clear that the attack is charging, not just randomly delayed? Or would it be better to remove the chargeup time from the humans entirely? The goal was to give the demons a chance to dodge the attack, when you’re playing as them, but that’s already difficult with the charge time, so it might be better to not expect the demons to be dodging and allow them to focus on landing attacks instead. I’d appreciate any feedback on these ideas
Yeah, I think if the intent was to have it charge up then I think some audio and maybe a small visual cue would help a lot :)
Very well done implementing the theme! Cool to play so many different characters!
Changing the team fits the theme really well. I like it.
A fun little game! love the reversal of roles and switching of characters as a response to dying, especially the demons. Their designs were so fun!
Good idea for the theme. I enjoyed the mechanics and the variation between the character's abilities. It could feel a bit more responsive, and have a bit more visual/audio feedback for hits. Nice work
Great work trying to pull together some fun boss mechanics. Something in the actions(attacks/movement) felt a bit unresponsive. But a cool little fight or two. And fun use of the theme that the next character wins for you if you lose.
