- I LOVED TO BE FREE SO MUCH! The story, the unique artstyle/character designs, and weaving the jam's theme into the story AND into the game design (forcing the player to get all the endings to unlock the true ending) created such a wonderful little game. This was honestly one of my favorite entries! I don't have any points of critique aside from polishing up the writing since there were a few minor spelling mistakes!
- A very nice meta story overall! I appreciate that there are many CGs to help visualize the scenes, and I love how Tya’s fate is determined by the reader’s perseverance in continuing to play until she has had enough.
How does this project relate to the jam theme? (Judge Question)
The story reflects ‘Killing Me Softly’ through the gradual destruction of the protagonist’s self-determination. Instead of a sudden death, the protagonist is slowly worn down by bureaucracy, societal expectations, and even the narrator itself. Her struggle represents a soft, psychological, and existential form of being ‘killed’
