art = fantastic, it touches my pixel art soul
gameplay = confusing
text intro = very long and punishing

overall a fun lil game that could use more polishing 🤭

adorable little game! i love the art and the gameplay was kinda catchy too.

Love the retro vibes. This feels like something that really could have been published on the Game Boy. Solid submission. A bit hard to understand at first, but fun once you get it.

Love the art !! 🌪️

Thank you so much!!

Love the art but after second launching i died on the starting spot. Why is this text intro so long?

Developer

Thanks a lot! I threw the intro together in the last 30 minutes before the deadline… I think I set each text to like 10 seconds, but you can skip them by pressing Z or Enter

Oh wow.

I think you really hit the mark on the look and feel and I mean that as both a compliment and a criticism. I just need some squishy rubber buttons and I'd swear this was a Tiger Electronics handheld, bugs and all!

Developer

Haha glad it took you back to those old games on those little devilish handhelds for a moment. Thanks!

He seems to be very stupid and didn't understand what to do (

Great game-n-watch vibes! I had some trouble telling which direction to push from some of the positions, and the snake in particular, it was hard to tell which of his positions were dangerous.

After 5 or 6 offerings, it seems like it’s not getting faster or more dangerous or anything. That would be a good direction to go if you keep working on it, some increasing difficulty.

Developer

Thank you so much!

Yeah, I can see that I need to highlight the possible positions better so the paths are easier to read. And in the snake section, I wanted to add a few decorative apples (the ones that don’t move), but it just ended up making things more confusing.

I also wanted to implement a system that adjusts the difficulty depending on the score, but I didn’t have time — and on top of that, I have basically zero coding skills. Thanks a lot for playing and for the comment!!!

cute and good story and audio, but gameplay a bit buggy, mostly movement.  but read desc and i understand being new and needing to work on it later. good game!!

Thanks so much! I just do this as a hobby, and the best part is that there’s still plenty of room for me to improve lol

Really like the artwork. I enjoyed callback to game and watch style gameplay, but it's really confusing on how you're supposed to play it and also quite buggy.

Developer

Thanks for the comment! The idea was to create a small tutorial before starting the game to explain how it works. Obviously, I didn’t have time, and everything ended up being a bit confusing.
