A simple yet very engaging game :) The visuals are polished and well thought out, music also, and the mini-games add a super fun and unexpected twist to the gameplay!

Thank you and we are glad that you got to and played the mini games also!

I really wish I had gotten time to make the main world more engaging (enemy AI, items and more map details and structure) so the mini games are definitely the shining piece of our project I would say!

I like the vibes of this, looks and sounds great, and loks like a real throwback to old topdown games - the only thing I'm kinda iffy on is the controls. Moving in 45 degree angles is wierd for me, but since the shooting is handled by the mouse, it's not a big deal. Nice job!

Thanks so much! PV Games makes such great isometric tileset art and tons of it!

We had planned to change the main world controls to mouse only (click to move) or a forward button and mouse turns your character but didn't have time to implement. So yes, as it stands, the movement is a bit weird lol

I love a top down shooter with old school crpg vibes

Thanks so much for the comment!

If you get more time, just follow the road up and go into the buildings up on the 2nd screen map to play all of our mini games that we made also!

Shooting felt good and I really like the idea here! With some more work you could have a really fun little game!

Developer

Thanks so much! I did really like making the maps and isometric movement and shooting and all!

If you get the time, then follow the road up to the second screen and go into/walk over the buildings to try out each of our mini games! It's a big part of the game we made.

Shooting the zombies felt good. Even though they never got close enough to present a threat, they honestly just felt like a fun collectible to get while moving through the minigames, and that seems like what you guys were going for. Other than the last minigame which was a bit confusing, the other minigames were quite fun and the time pressure for the whack-a-zombie felt appropriate (As someone who is bad at whack-a-mole lol).

My only challenge with the art was that I was looking forward to navigating a carnival themed environment, and the world itself gave more of a rural trailer park wasteland. I still really liked the isometric art perspective especially because I'm a sucker for the fallout 1 look!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback for us!

You really nailed exactly what we were going for and yes, the world gives off exactly a rural trailer park wasteland vibe because unfortunately my tile pack that I was using did not have any sort of theme park or carnival tile sets! It is all just doom world fall out type tiles.
