Great game idea. I really like the concept. I enjoyed placing bets on whether I would win a battle or not lol
I felt like i got pretty far, I love the ability to buy enemies that you defeated, allowing your army to continue. I think after the 2nd round i had no original units left, you quickly pick up what units work for you, and you increase your army. I love this little game, and it was really fun!
I enjoyed playing this! The pacing of the game is excellent. The warband building is quick to learn and the pacing makes it easy to experiment with. The pixel art and animations are fantastic and the music brings the vibe together perfectly. I enjoyed the upgrade progression and balance of battles with enemy warbands.
I must say I find the choice to use photos for battlefield backgrounds questionable because they conflict with the otherwise excellent artstyle. In regards to the battlefields, I think knockback or more varied unit attack ranges might have made better use of their often unutilised space. I also found it a bit tricky to clearly see what was going on at times due to overlapping health bars and sprites. I think a bit more spacing between some units and and a clearer indication of which unit is fighting which might help. Lastly, I thought some of the sound effects were a bit loud and didn't quite fit into the scene.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the game and found myself replaying it until I beat the final level. Great job!
Very fun autobattler. Well done!
Very fun, liked the mixed media art a lot although some of the backdrops felt a bit busy and were hard to see what was going on, would have also liked if there was a sense of lineage moving from one backdrop to the other. The army building was fun and I liked trying to balance upgrades with having enough units. Early game economy felt a little generous and late game felt a little sparse but overall reasonably balanced. Would play again if updated further.
Loved this! I loved the presentation of everything, it was really polished. The 3 armies all felt fun too. Only thing I noticed was that I couldn't reposition my guys after they'd been deployed, not sure if that was intentional or if I just missed how to do it?
this was a QoL that we didnt get time to do in the week.
I love the concept and art. I don't know about the real world battle maps, not my cup of tea but liked the bench one. I'm a huge fan of auto battlers so had a lot of fun, also it'd be amazing if we could change the position of a unit after putting them, while I had a few battles where I couldn't position stuff as I wanted, but its a very minor issue. General readability is good and unit balance can be better but I think overall pretty decent. I couldn't completely finish it yet, I will come back to it to see the end but I'd also love it if we could visaully see the progress on how much we've united on the map or something like that. Great work!
We would love to hear more of your feedback if you could fill out our forum in the description please!
I will definitely, but before that I want to play a bit more and try out everything.
I really liked the real world battle maps. Great choices on them. High difficulty. Hard to parse exactly the balance/expectation of what each army is made up of to make strategic choices. But I suppose that is learned through play.
Cool idea. Fun. Great job.
It's so pretty! Really enjoyed the music and sounds as well, and the micro-scale implied by the background made the whole thing feel very cute to me. The unforgiving difficulty was really fun! It really made every choice between an upgrade and befriending an enemy feel important and impactful :3
It's not bad, but the problem is that the game balance is not good. I can't earn enough golds to win the next round, and there is no undo button in the game. If there were an undo button, the game would be smoother.
Nice! Another auto-battler, we also did one =D I loved upgrading the units and filling my troop with some enemies hehe^^ The backgrounds were a little bit distracting for me. My eyes are not the best so it get's a litte hard to see what's import when there's a lot of stuff going on. But all in all really nice and it's amazing that you got that done within one week =D
