absolutely horrifying, I loved it! The hammer in particular got to me, something about the combination of the sound effect and the deformation was wonderfully jarring.
Game fit, eventually came across a javascript error, but this was a funny little horror like game, I love this idea, and it plays well! Great job!
yeah echoing a previous comment, the game didnt fit on my screen without painful scrolling (playing on a large TV). but the atmosphere and goals seem interesting from what I can access. Id try this again if the screen size were adjusted properly.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and art direction, even though it's not the sort of game I would play. I think it's a creative interpration of the theme and I thought the main mechanic was great. Reminded me of the chaotic fun I've had in various game character creators in the past!
I think it would be better if the tool controls were a little better. I found it hard to tell when I could click to use them and the rotation of them was a bit confusing. I also found it unclear that I was meant to click the text to proceed at first.
Side note, I'm not sure if it is intended but I was able to pass every monster without any modifications to the face.
Either way, I had fun! Great job with the game.
Interesting game. You really nailed the weird and creepy vibes. Well done!
game sorta breaks on full screen. I think highlighting where an object interacts with the face would help a lot here as my face was deformed i couldnt tell what angle i was adjusting. Maybe allow it after the modifcation like resample the factor to remake new face vertices. So like after the scene its a clean head even while messed up. I think longevity adding some pain/health meter to like prevent continuous modifcation where then its a cost and roguelike how much can i modify myself to blend in before i pass out. but passively gain some hp or items to heal and manage health with the core mechanic.
I frickin' loved this! Very much my vibe and I had an absolute blast playing this on stream with you guys watching along! As I mentioned, I actually think the lack of audio turned into a plus - just having the background music and the sounds of my "tools" made it extra creepy.
My only nitpick was that sometimes it was difficult to get the right spot with a particular tool. However the fact you were able to achieve that deformation mechanic in a week is really impressive. Awesome job!
Abolutely horrific and amazing, great job!
Thank you!
I'm a sucker for a jam game with volume options.
the rest of the game is goddamn horrific. I love it.
Thanks a lot! Did the volume options not work for you? There should be volume controls when you go into the pause menu with esc.
Yes they did, I'm saying I appreciate them a lot.
