It doesn't work for me; the start menu looks correct, but when I press Start, only the top two or three lines render, and I can't see anything. I've got no idea how to rate that, cuz it seems the game is cool based on the screens and other comments, but for me, there is only a menu and a broken mess. I'll change the bad rating as soon as you show me how I can play it without it breaking. (Windows 10)

I'm really sorry about this. I am not sure why it is broken, but maybe your terminal is set to a different character count than that which we developed this on ?

COOL!

This absolutely delighted me from the moment I opened it up. Really glad it landed in my review queue. Super unique entry that is incredibly technically impressive. Loved the Squid boss too.

The leaderboard is a great feature that adds a lot of replayability to this. Genuinely really challenging to get a competative score. Congrats guys!

Thank you. It was a mission to complete in time, and glad my humour isn't wasted :)

I really liked the use of the terminal, graphics and audio were decent in the context of this game, and the 'double' use of the wave theme was neat. Great work!

Always love to see some terminal games! Unfortunately, the game just does not render correctly on my Windows machine and is kind of unplayable due to that. :(

Any ideas what may be the issue? Should I be using a specific terminal application?

Developer

It seems a few people have this issue. It was built and tested on Terminal : Windows Terminal - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
It's possible that you can configure a different char width too which might affect it. Also, I'm not sure how it would hold up outside of UK  character locale.
