Hi Chroma! I just played your entry, Lunny the Lunar Bunny, and I really have to say this, this has GOT to be one of my absolute favorite entries in the 20 Second Game Jam 2025! I ESPECIALLY love the cute artstyle and aesthetic, and also the catchy music, to which it really reminded me of early, but impressive Sunsoft games on the NES and Game Boy, including Gimmick! and Trip World. The core concept of the game is simple and cute yet enjoyable enough for me to keep coming back for more. Even though there's only 6 foxes to smash with your hammer, it's still more than enough to smash em' all in under 20 seconds. Overall, FANTASTIC entry, Chroma! 4.75/5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌖. Oh, and just wanted to ask, what software did you make your music in, because it's really catchy to listen to! Thanks if you respond!
The software used for sound was Furnace Tracker. Thank you for playing Lunny and for all the kind words, especially about Sunsoft because they has always been a reference for us. 😊
The pixel art, the music, the old game mechanics; it's all absolutely beutiful. I have a question for Choso: how do you get that retro effect for the music and the SFX?
Which effect? If you're talking about the instruments being muted to play sfx it's SwitchZetto's code. I exported 4 different audio tracks for each song: 2 pulses, 1 wavetable and 1 noise. When a sfx is played the corresponding track is muted. If you're talking about something else let me know it. Thanks for playing Lunny 😊
I meant, how do you make the music and the SFX sound like a retro game or an old arcade (8-16 bits)? Do you use some special settings in a synthesizer, or a specific instrument in the software you use to make the music and sounds...?
Ah, the music was sequenced on Furnace Tracker, you can find their website or Github page easily. In Furnace you can select which soundchip you want to use. very straightfoward. And if you want you can even export the music for the real hardware, so basically Lunny's soundtrack can run on a real gameboy.
Jesus, that is probably my favorite art style I've seen in this competition this year. The gameplay might not be too advanced, but damn, this presentation, man!
acabei de ver que é outro brasileiro hahah boraaa! se tiver discord me chama por lá, vamos trocar uma ideia de chiptune, achei demais o teu estilo! .gnomo

The gameboy style is awesome, quite hard to handle but nice work. I feel like I've discovered a forgotten gameboy game.
Really cute art style! I especially like the idea of the main menu, it's very original and unique! Great work!

Thanks a lot for the reply! Now I'm gonna check it out. :)))))))
Refreshing pixel art, I like it.
I just find death a little too punitive due to the restart time.
I really like the old game boy aesthetic. Mechanic-wise is a bit hard for me to get the hang of, died too many times without even running out of time.
Tho so far from what I played, it's solid.
Very cute and a very authentic Game Boy feel. Nice work!
This is peak pixel art! I loved the Gameboy vibe the game brought. Hats off to you for such an amazing entry in the game jam! :)
Pixel art is pretty peak in this entry and I love of expressive the characters are. Felt like something that could truly be on the Gameboy.
Amazingly good. The pixelart is awesome, the title looks so cool, and the select screen music is so good!
Lunny is incredibly well made, and the retro style is spot on! Would love to see more of this 🙏
Loved the controls and the incredible GB art style, very cute!

I cannot believe how professional this is, so polished. Great game man
man the sprite work on this game is lovely, it's as good as OG nintendo work. Amazing job!
the attacks are so satisfying, really cute game with nice art and music!
Gorgeous graphics! the only thing that i found hard were the controls! but after i got them down it was cool striking and pomeling! cudos!
Absolutely gorgeous game and an insane soundtrack I love it!
What did you guys use to compose it? Was it a tracker?
Thank you! 😊
Yes, i used Furnace tracker to sequence both soundtrack and sound effects.
