Incredible entry. The length, complexity and creativeness of it all. Very unique and there is clearly a huge amount of talent and passion put into this work. I like the difficulty, its very hard but the progression felt adequate, specially knowing this is made in just a month and we all know those kind of things require a LOT more time (I too had a "difficulty" problem in my game but, unlike this one, the progression wasn't properly handled). And on top of that there's even a (very nice and touching) story? Damn... Congrats!

Impressive, the completeness of the game is unbelievable. I would say it's the best one I played in the Jam.
Pretty amazing product to kick out in 1 month, well done! I think some of the puzzles were made tedious by some inconsistencies in the platforming controls, running off of a moving platform into spikes 5 times in a row was blood boiling. I think with some polish this could be a viable steam release. Nice work.
A very fun game! Unfortunately, the difficulty was slightly high and my time was limited, so I was unable to complete the level in the end.
Amazing work! This feels like a full game! I loved the cutscenes, writing, and game mechanic. My only complaint is that the levels themselves just needed more playtesting (e.g, many levels are more or less impossible for multiple attempts only because I don't know what will be coming... a Celeste-style "viewfinder" would be an easy fix). For a game jam, that's totally expected though.
One personal preference thing: you created a very cool spellcast mechanic, but then limit it to a square grid. Given the nature of the spells, an Okami-like "draw a circle" could have been more evocative!
Huge thanks for adding the accessibility options. I would not have been able to see the ending without them :) Even with both on, the boss was hard for me!
Thanks for the feedback! I do agree that some of the levels needed some adjustments, a couple of them are only feasible via the reset spell.
I see what you mean with the drawing limitations, we made it this way to simplify the drawing process so that it could feel good during platforming/combat. We originally wanted to use a nueral network to compare the player's drawing to a spell symbol (like the player would have to draw the symbol for fire within a certain percent error), but obviously this has its own complexitites that even a one month Jam wouldn't allow for (unless we had more experience with machine learning algos). But yeah, the mechanic can 100% be tweaked to feel more intuitive and fun.
Thanks for playing through the game to the end! One of most fun parts about developing this game was writing the story/dialogue, so I'm glad you got to experience it all :)
I like what I played. Nice little cinematic cool spell casting and puzzles.
The prologue and the graphic are nice.
I would like play with this game, just the drawing didn't work for me :(
(I used Windows version)
I loved ur games and the art its ourstanding, if u want, id like to work with u guys in future jams
Wow! This rocks a whole intro animation that is like a full cartoon. So much art. I love the spell casting reminds me of Arx Fatalis. The music is cute and the whole thing has such a great vibe. The music is simple and enjoyable. My only complaint is that the platforming is a little finnicky so I'd fall off stuff a little more than I'd expect (like in the second level I had a hard time getting off the block without ending up in the pit). I am also just bad at fast multi-task platformers. The magic is so cool I would love to see this type of system in a non-puzzle game Also the UI was really clean and polished. Really impressive how much you manage to get done. (Also loved the animation the stretch when falling far was so subtle and cute).
Thanks for the kind praises I really appreciate it! That's a good point on the finnicky movement, the walking should have probably been a little less snappy to allow for more precise movements. I was also concerned about putting puzzle levels in the game because it makes it less accessible to people. Thanks again!
This game oozes personality and is really polished! I did eventually get stuck on a puzzle I will need to come back and try to solve. BUT I loved the spell casting system, very unique. The music and art was very charming. Nice theme interpretation!
