The game was pretty basic and simple, there appeared to be a bit of an issue with the hotboxes of the incoming obstacles as it appears to "hit" me even though it appears to not be touching me
I wish the jumping was a bit longer. For me personally, I found that I was colliding with objects that weren't that close to me which meant the jumps weren't long enough to actually clear obstacles consistently. Otherwise, the game is very cute and the gameplay is responsive. It's just those few simple issues. Granted, it could be partly due to using an older version of xCode which means older simulators.
I enjoyed this game, the simple gameplay loop and learning to time jumps can be quite fun, however I noticed that the spawns are all the same distance apart, and the hitboxes seem large on the obstacles.
I really enjoyed the gameplay concept of this runner game. The controls are simple and responsive, which makes it easy to jump in and start playing right away. The obstacle spawning and increasing speed over time create a nice sense of challenge and progression, and the scoring system encourages you to keep going and beat your previous run. I also liked the clear game over screen and restart mechanic, which keeps the game feeling smooth and replayable. Overall, it’s a fun and engaging endless runner experience.
I have no clue how you did it, but the text flashing on the menu screen looked great! I would prefer if the score was counting the number of obstacles you jump over rather than the time you've spent alive, but I can definitely understand where that idea comes from. I wish there was a bit more variety in the obstacles you need to avoid; if there is, I didn't live long enough to see it because I was pretty bad at this game. The mechanics work well for what it's trying to do, but I wish there had been a double jump or something to help the player out with timing.
