okay literally it's almost midnight on the last day of voting, i have not gotten far into the game but what i have seen is AMAZING. like it's so pretty, from the main menu to the GUI to the art to the backgrounds. everything about this SCREAMS beauty and passion and love and it's killing me that i don't have like 18 hours straight to play it.
thank you for submitting the game to the jam i'll definitely be looking at the rest of it after i get some sleep
This game was clearly a labor of love, which is so awesome! It was really cool being able to experience a culture that is not my own and the backgrounds were so warm. I loved the character designs as well, and that character creator was so cool! I had a few errors with sprites appearing more than once on screen, but the gaming experience was generally smooth. Big fan of the art style too since it complimented the whole vibe :D
My amateur coder ass apologizes thoroughly for the bugs 😭 I better get to fixing it soon HAHA. Thank you for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it this much 🙏🏻 it was definitely designed as a cultural experience, glad it came through!
Your game is absolutely gorgeous! I really enjoyed it. Also, I was super impressed by the customisation options for the player!
The art is beautiful and the story you tell in the game is very complex and in-depth. I think you convey the difficult emotions of all characters really well.
I think you did an amazing job! I got emotional playing your game, so I definitely think you deserve a lot of praise for this hard work.
(I did see some typos, and I thought it would be important to let you know that I got some error messages in the character design menu while cycling through some options. There were also some sprites that would stay on screen in scenes where they shouldn't be. But obviously these are minor things that didn't cause a lot of problems!)

Oh goodness, it was such a crazy undertaking 😭 I was working 24/7 but it's so rewarding to be able to finish something like this!
